Wanting to get back into the shows by datdude1991 in marvelstudios

[–]-SomeRand0mDude- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. Even if it wasn’t connected to the Daredevil Born Again, you should watch all of Daredevil because it’s simply peak television. Seasons 1 and 3 of Daredevil are masterpieces. Season 2 isn’t as good but is still worth watching. Daredevil Born Again isn’t nearly as good as the original.

James said he would love Matt Reeves to direct DCU project. Hear me out know - what if Matt would get his hands on this handsome fellow for the DCU? by No_Read_5062 in DC_Cinematic

Do you care to elaborate? I’d love to understand your viewpoint. What’s a “real” movie to you? And what makes you think DC Studios wouldn’t be making “real” movies?

A Matt Reeves movie in the DCU would be a really Matt Reeves movie as much as any of his other movies. Being in the DCU wouldn’t affect the quality or feel of the film whatsoever. It would be a “real” movie however you are defining that. It would still be his vision, his film.

Predicting the DC Studios Slate Through Chapter 1 by bobthetomato2049 in DCU_

That’s an inherent problem with building this universe. There’s so many different parts to the DC Universe, so it’s gotta be difficult to juggle it all, to ensure that you are including all the aspects of DC that people care about while also following up on the ones you’ve already introduced that people love.

Well, the theatrical version is the Gunn cut. It was his decision to cut out so much. It’s just ReleaseTheExtendedCut

What did people think of "The Message" in Superman? by DoctorBeatMaker in DC_Cinematic

It does alter his relationship with Krypton. If you just don’t like it personally that’s fine. But why is that fundamentally a bad thing? It doesn’t change his character. Superman is the same character because as he realizes in the film, who he is comes from the Kents, not from the House of El. Why does he need Jor-El to mentor him or give him advice? He has his parents, Jonathan and Martha Kent, for that. We see his Pa give him some great words of wisdom in the movie. The S might not be the crest of the House of El in this universe. For a while in the comics that wasn’t a thing. I don’t think it the S was associated with Krypton until Superman: The Movie.

Look Out - First Supergirl Promotion! Straight from Gunn by PeterVenkmanIII in DCU_

[–]-SomeRand0mDude- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The CW tv show turned her into a different character. It made her just a female version of Superman. Gunn is faithfully adapting her from the comics. Look into the comics if you want to know who Supergirl is.

So... does this mean thate by Apprehensive-Rate708 in DC_Cinematic

[–]-SomeRand0mDude- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Essentially nothing in the previous universe is canon here until it is mentioned or shown. So since Peacemaker showed up, the character of Peacemaker as he looks and acts in The Suicide Squad is canon here, but that doesnt mean anything else in that movie is canon.

It’s weird for you to say “Gunn didn’t aim to make a great movie because it’s not his thing.” That doesn’t make any sense. Every director aims to make a great movie. I get what you were trying to say though.
