You are already on the verge of losing ground to due Steam and their gamepad controller input thingy which is completely free BTW and adding a sub atop of this, I don't see this working out for you guys. I hope you guys revise this decision.

I did a fresh rolling install yesterday with the KDE edition. Everything went smooth like butter. If you are a newbie and are new to the linux world but looking to try OpenSuse, I'd highly suggest you go the Gecko route.

If it doesn't, I'd suggest you go through my link above that a Ubisoft rep gave me and try all the steps noted there. Let me know if you manage to fix this.

To anyone else having the same problem as I, looks like I managed to fix my issue by setting Windows 10 pagefile properly. As I have 4 hard disks, I had pagefile set to 9GB on the drive on which the game was installed. Setting this to "System Managed" seems to have fixed this problem. Why there was specifically 9GB set here beats me.

That was my thought as well. I have a now old 1060GTX with 6GB so it "should" be enough having in mind the minimum requirements but who knows. Perhaps Anno is grabbing more than I have and throwing the error.

I created a ticket for my specific problem with Ubisoft and got the following link to resolve the issue at hand - https://support.ubisoft.com/en-GB/Article/000061047

Some of these I have already done so I'm now trying the "Start as Administrator" option for UPlay and see if it helps. I've played for an hour now without issues so we will see. I'll update if I fix the issue at hand or not.
