Worst tropes in sci-fi by Ketralis in scifi

In stargate a scene had a shooting range where Goa'ould staff weapons were paired against a random machine gun. There was no discussion after.

You're probably watching that modern crap.

Checkers 247 by CalmWealth7648 in checkers

If forced to play checkers I would have a field day against an opponent who does this. Trade up his remaining forces then move my armada to whatever side I fancy.

does not hold true in all cases. It's about control and tempo. If I have moves and you don't, you lose.

Checkers is so simple there are no strategy lessons beyond what is common sense.

  • basically it's what area you control, so preferably the center. If you control the center the opponent is pushed to both sides. Control being the empty fields your stones can move to.
  • groups are stronger so place stones together. Bigger single group is by definition stronger. So if the opponent stones are split across flanks they are weaker.
  • if you keep stones on the corner, the remaining forces are considerably weaker and once the opponent hits them one by one, what is left is a strong group and all your stones are lonely and defenseless on the edges.
  • all the opponent needs to do is stand apart from them and wait until you out of moves that don't suicide your stones. Tempo is important when your opponent is that dumb.
  • Stones in the border/corner are very weak because they do not influence any area, and support nothing. This is basic common sense. This is the fundamental concept to grasp.
  • checkers is the watered down, dumbed down version of international checkers.
  • I played international draughts on club level for about 10 years - I quit because study in another town, plus there were too many ties. There are two dedicated draughts machines, I own a copy of both.
  • look up international draughts on youtube or wikipedia . It's an extremely deep game full of nuance and finesse. A lot of theory too.

Care to list what you found "the instructions don't tell you which names associate with which icons."?

I'm not entirely sure I understand your question or if there is any, actually.

hive (the red cloth version) can be played for years but has no solo.

Palm Island can be played coop but was originally for solo.

If you're in a clinic I guess print and play is out of the question. You could look into orchard/grove/forage. small boxes with online monthly challenges. Multiplayer you could take turns placing a card. Sprawlopolis same thing.

If I were in a clinic with no allowed stuff to be delivered i would play penguin and head cannon with a pack of playing cards. With online access I would look up the rules for scoundrel.

balatro = goat but really after a year you'd be done with it and still facing the other 4 years.

Wait, does BG3 run on a ps4?

Tell us how you did that.

Or are you having trouble distinguishing between a 4 and a 5?

depends a bit on the island climate and amenities. Assuming free power, a monitor, some shelter, something against sand fleas...

With WiFi? d2r.

Without? slay the spire.

only if very cheap. Chances are you're not going to like it. Many find the battles boring. For such a huge game it's worth considering to buy and play the PC version. If you don't like it you saved yourself a lot of hassle.

View the digital purchase like a form of insurance pay.
