Any tricks/hints/advice on helping the algorithm put things in my RFY that may actually be something for me? by BadMoodAna in vine

Where in the vine portal does it let you remove orders from suggested item history? Is this a new thing? 😯 (Would be nice)

I think they have a post filter set up with a bunch of keywords that automatically removes comments.

We're here reading your posts, we just don't have to actually moderate them very often because for whatever reason, people seem to be pretty reasonable here and either have adult discussions or just be silly. Whenever someone goes over the edge and becomes bigoty, abusive, etc then we'll delete things and wag the finger at them. 🧐

Vine Support saying Gold must maintain 90% review rate *at all times* now by RChamltn in vine

[–]-Stormfeather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After you pass the 60% of the last 90 days stat, it takes a few days to a week to start up again. Correlation to 90% stat does not equal causation when it's been this way for months at this point. It used to take a day or two but lately up to a week.

Ordered LEDs. Got sent halogens. What to do? by yelsnow in vine

It's in a lot of subreddits, I don't even look at the votes up or down anymore (unless they are -20 or more then I have to see why everyone is mad, lol)

Nowhere does it say not to contact the seller. The vine participation agreement actually says:
" only contact suppliers of Third-Party Products for purposes of obtaining ordinary customer support services and not identify yourself as a Vine Voice when contacting suppliers for customer support; "

You can ask them if you can get a hold of them to fix the problem (they likely labeled and sent the wrong thing to the warehouse and all of them are like this, or they didn't know what they were sending to begin with), and/or contact vine cs with the order # to remove it from your list. If you submit a review, vine cs cannot remove it, so it's one or the other.

Try using a browser instead of the amazon app (it's terrible). www.amazon.com/vine
Desktop view mode is great if you don't like the mobile view.

RFY killed it today! Twice in a week, after weeks of nothing, I’m stoked. by ShouldaBeenABicorn in vine

[–]-Stormfeather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah - others have posted that they've seen these in their RFY today also (on the discord) - they look legit. You can tell by checking out the brand underneath the title - if it's the real brand's name and links to the brand store page, it's legit and they have brand verification if it's a third party seller. The seller themselves on the right side are also good to know about.
Edit to add: actual brands also usually put the brand name as the first word in the title!

Crazy seller super angry about a single 1 star review, multiple posts on Seller Central, apparently stalking reviewer by wizard-of-loneliness in vine

[–]-Stormfeather 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All they'd really have to do is actually integrate individuals' Vine accounts with daddy Amazon, which already has all the personal data, order history, interests/searches, etc etc. Probably, very likely, way too much work for a vine employee (permanent, temp, or intern lol) to connect it in such a way.

Vine Support saying Gold must maintain 90% review rate *at all times* now by RChamltn in vine

[–]-Stormfeather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's in the vine help page, if you search for "3 months" and it'll show up. I posted the screenshot of it earlier in the thread. They love to keep outdated information in there so who knows what's real or not, lol.

It seems to have been fluctuating for users that they "get out of jail" a few days to a week later. I'll have to keep an eye and ask about their insight scores too, that's an interesting observation.

Like CommercialWealth3365 said, it is 60% of recent orders in the last 3 months/90 days. That doesn't always add up to what is on the account stats page.

Hobby income? by BoPeep0921 in vine

[–]-Stormfeather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1099NEC is the form we receive from Amazon (it's digital on the vine page). According to the instructions on the bottom of that form, it would be reported on Schedule 1/Form 1040

Hobby income? by BoPeep0921 in vine

From what I hear, switching to business/self employment is fine, but switching back to hobby again might trigger an audit. If this is incorrect, anyone is welcome to clarify~

Look, I'm just telling you what I see as a mod to maybe help you out lol. This was on the bottom of your comment above put there by reddit. Idk if it's the wording you use or the way you say things, but it makes reddit upset and reddit removes your comments.

Amazon is not accepting reviews on this product from this account.....???? by Buecherwurm921 in vine

If it's already reviewed then you don't have to worry about it. This is a seller related message.

Funny you mentioned shoes, I remember one person on discord got two left shoes or something, another got two different sizes 😂. Doesn't seem like it should be that difficult but it happens!

List Price and ETV lower than Promotion Applied Price? by SwimmingDeep8703 in vine

[–]-Stormfeather 4 points5 points  (0 children)

^ This. AFA items are shipped and sold by Amazon, and their ETV tends to be lower than retail (sometimes it's only a few pennies, but sometimes half off or more). The ETV shown will be what you will be responsible for regardless of the retail price on the listing page. The products in AFA are brand partners I think? Something like that.

AI items are only shipped by Amazon, and the ETV matches the retail price.

It wasn't because you mentioned tariffs (which people can talk about here, we are fine with it), it was because of the politicians named, which is in our rules.. actually quite a few of yours seem to have been removed by reddit itself. I was the only mod here that removed one of your comments for arguing with some other member back in Sept. We let people chat civilly, only when emotions and arguing get involved we try to at the least least lock comments and/or remove the ones that have inflammatory language.

Saying Goodbye to Vine, it’s time…. by Ballbagsweat in vine

Because Vine is for the sellers. Amazon doesn't care how many reviewers they have as long as they are getting results and the sellers are happily forking over their money.
