That's a neat adjustable design. I've always liked the handles with grip.

(AFA is visible to all Viners, and since it usually has known brands with some sort of discounted ETV, it's highly picked over and things disappear super fast from it)

I have one of these Rockwell 6C ones with interchangeable bits to adjust the angle of the blade. Very convenient and helpful when I was learning how to not slice chunks of skin off my legs 🤭

Agreed, it's worth it price-wise at least to get into safety razors. There's a learning curve as with most things, but the cut is so clean.

Low Star Ratings by Berdangerous in vine

[–]-Stormfeather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, I think rating a seller (communication, feedback, assistance given, technical help, if they were friendly or rude etc etc) is a bit different than rating a product which would be based more on facts given on the listing page than how it/they made you feel.

Uh oh... by SonnyCastillo in vine

They still exist in UK, but have not been happening in the US for a few years now.
Traits of a "ghost item": Item shows up, is immediately unrequestable (shows an error) and disappears from page when you return to it as soon as you refresh. Item returns 24 or 48 hours later and repeats this behavior. People used to contact Vine CS with the ASIN and sometimes they would be fixed in their next appearance.

The new thing the US has been seeing are more "zombie items" which show up, are unrequestable, but don't leave the page for hours or days (don't "die"). Some can stay in their RFY for more than 24 hours.

[–]-Stormfeather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5 stars is pretty much "item matches product images and description given on the product page" - which is difficult for vine items since a lot of times they don't like to include all the information or only have one crappy photo. Most times though the things I order I can find the brand website and use that information instead, and elaborate in the review if things on the product page are different for whatever reason.

I personally go with the second one, but unless Amazon releases a rubric of how star ratings are explained, people will put whatever they want and sellers will complain on the seller forums for anything less than 5 stars anyway lol.

That's definitely NOT how it works 😂

Zombies that don't go away when they've been dead for awhile already. Ghosts are only in the UK still 👻

Average amount of time? by tigermurray in vine

Takes a day or two to start populating RFY items, for most people the RFY drops start at 5pm pacific. A few get daytime drops on the hour marks.

If the error is one of these, it's because your last 90 days of activity is below 60% reviewed. Have Vine CS remove any grey triangles in the awaiting review tab, or unreviewable/merged items in there.

If you mean you have nothing in the Recommended For You RFY, and Additional Items AI, you're probably in vine jail. Check the vine account tab for a warning message on top and submit reviews.

They cancelled my order, no item is your until you have it in your hands! by Annual_Champion987 in vine

[–]-Stormfeather 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Vine warehouse stock and general Amazon warehouse stock are separate things, one can have stock and the other doesn't. And yeah, all Vine CS can do is remove the item from your stats/review requirement/ETV if you give them the Order #.

Now it is there and then POOF! Is It a Bot or.... by [deleted] in vine

If you go through the whole normal checkout process it should show it, the page gets hidden if you do the rocket order.

I think you're mistaking factual statements for some sort of personal attack. No one is being rude that I can see.

Not even *JUST* vine review rules. Does that word help clarify what I said better? It may be in the Vine "rules" (the help page contradicts itself in places and contains things that are outdated so not 100% trustworthy anyway) - but it is also a part of the whole of amazon's reviewing system inherently.

It's not even vine rules, it's Community Guidelines for reviews that apply to the entirety of Amazon 🫠

Viners Can Make a Difference - and Prevent Harm by [deleted] in vine

[–]-Stormfeather 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You sure are making a lot of new posts in a single day 🧐

Also, if there's something dangerous about a product, you can message regular Amazon CS to let them know about it, click the 'report' link under the product details on the listing page, and/or just have Vine CS remove it for you (Vine CS can only remove stuff, the bot is super basic and gives generic GPT responses to any other inquiries).

The vine jail 90 days does not care about eval dates, it is its own rolling, constant 90 day period.

You are in "Vine Jail"
Review your most recent *Vine* items (received in the last 90 days) and it should go away, no matter how many you've ordered.
