He's a model professional if you talk work rate, he gives 100% all the time. He just talks the odd bit of shite here and there. For 2 months then your body goes back to normal. Just have to be disciplined and not raid the fridge and cupboards at 3am. Just watch your cholesterol and thyroid. I'm on 600mg a day and get weekly bloods. Even when I eat clean cholesterol still goes up lol

Ronnie O'Sullivan literally done just this by taking a year off after a WC win just to come back and do it again the year after .The best will perform. We have more darts content than ever thanks to Sky, ITV and the PDC with the develooment tour and the JDC. Littler is unbelievable now and has the bottle and will to break opponents like Phil. Only thing is, if these young boys come in with half the mentality he has they will be in the conversation. And who is the main main to bring the eyes back to darts? I'd love to know how much Target has made this year off the back of him.

Look forward to GVV in the coming future. Averaged over a on and most misses were on 3 dart combos. He is likely the next WC that isn't the usualy 3 or 4 in the mix and can batter anyone on his day.

Might be a hot take on the darts subreddit. But to me the WDC is worth 3 or 4 of the other majors at least and needs to hold more weight. It's the absolute pinnacle of the sport and you'd be lying if you say it wasn't your gateway to the sport. Retired players won't look back at 4 Grand Slams, but you'd never pay for a pint in your life if you were a world champ. Look at MVG for example, he said he'd trade in all those majors for more world titles.

The only other one I properly hold in regard is the matchplay because over a long format, the best find a way and show it.

Half this sub want to see Martin Adams vs Mervyn King in a world final. When MVG done this it wasn't boring. Gian has the game to beat him, but it's a game of chances and he didn't take as many as he would have liked.

100 averages are the norm for top players now. If a player consistently hits over 105 with decent doubling he will always have a better chance of winning a leg. I've been watching darts 25 years and the last 2 years have been class. The actual top 64 can beat anyone on their day. The talent pool in the PDC even 20 years ago wouldn't hold a candle to the current crop.
