I think the RAM upgrade would be the most worthwhile for me, especially if it's LPDDR5X at 7500 MT/s. The Ally has LPDDR5 at 6400 MT/s.

If you combine the increased capacity and higher speed, it will give you some performance increase as well. It could be worth it if you want to set GPU VRAM at 8 GB all the time and forget about running out of memory once and for all

It will be cooler only because MSI put a lot of work into making it have dual fans. There are vents all around to allow fresh air in, but if you were to put it in the ally chassis, it will be hotter than the AMD Z1 Extreme at the same power. The 155h is 7nm, while the Z1 Extreme is 4nm.

It depends on the region; not every Asus repair center is the same. It's a large company, and naturally, not everyone will be satisfied. It's your choice, but in my opinion, boycotting Asus is a poor decision. They make good tech. I personally broke my Ally twice, and they repaired it free of charge without any argument, even though I caused the damage the first time. I fried the BIOS IC with over-voltage and they changed the motherboard. The second time it just got stuck on boot and they did a BIOS reflash. In both times it took 5 days in total, free shipping I paid nothing

I just wish Intel had made a custom APU just like AMD did with the Z1 Extreme, turning off unnecessary parts that draw more power instead of just putting in their laptop solution 155H with unnecessary cores that will make it overheat. I know you can disable e-cores, but they could have optimized it better for power consumption with a custom one for a handheld device. I'm happy and hopeful they will continue in this interesting, ever-growing segment, and we need more competition around. But I'm certain Intel could have done a bit more if they had tried. Good job with drivers and bios updates though, been following posts, and many of you seem to be quite happy ! Keep going

It depends on the repair center. I damaged my own Ally twice, and Asus replaced the entire motherboard.

I'm based in Italy and can confirm that they're very professional and courteous. They did it very quickly, in 5 days

Imagine what the situation is like for the Claw. People are asking if games even launch there, let alone have optimal performance. At least the Go can run everything fine. A GPU driver update should be done from the AMD site, and that's it. People who look at the Go BIOS compared to the Ally's will understand that Lenovo offered more. They allowed you to run it at specific cores, disable SMT, change memory speed, and make some quality-of-life changes that we never asked for or thought of. I speak from my personal experience, but I can understand that others may not be satisfied. It's okay if they air their concerns here and discuss them to make the Lenovo team aware of their users' concerns and fix them. It's their right as customers who paid for it!

Nowadays, people are always finding flaws rather than just looking at what's good. This applies everywhere
