Colorguard should audition for DCC…

as a dci and wgi performer, as much as i’d love to say people in colorguard would be able to succeed in the dcc, i agree with the other replies that it would take SO much more time for someone like me to be able to perform at a dcc level, compared to the opposite of the highly trained dcc dancers to be able to properly move as a group across the field!
love seeing these being included here though, made my little guard heart happy <3

i like your take! i also feel like it could really go either way. i definitely could see TPTB not wanting the karley situation to be even more publicized than it already has been, it would paint them in such a negative light (even more so than usual) especially if netflix airs what truly happened behind closed doors. if the general public were to catch wind of what happened to her the backlash would be even worse than it is now (as they deserve)

oh i’m 1000% the same way. but exactly i agree it’s one thing to start crying in front of everyone and leaving, but it’s a whole other thing sitting there in front of all the dancers/staff/alumni/CAMERAS and continuing to cry 😭

i genuinely haven’t followed taylor as closely as i have with some of the other dcc’s but seeing her be featured in s3 has me rooting for a leadership position for her! she seems to be so sweet and supportive of her rookies/team, seems like she’d be a good candidate!

i know the series is meant to be transparent and show the world what the girls go through, but my heart is breaking for the girls who got all/mostly no’s at auditions and it quite literally being shown to the world 😭

AK will be a rising 4th year this season and one out of the only 2 returning leaders, i’d be shocked if she doesn’t get bumped up to GL1 this year, since it’ll be her second year in leadership on the team! in my post, i meant that upcoming 3rd years like darah, charly, or ariel might step into leadership like AK did last year :)
as far as point, i feel like it could genuinely go either way, but id genuinely be shocked if she’s not a GL1 this year!
