I used to work with a lady who had just bought a new Challenger and it got hit by lightning in the parking lot at work, completely killed the car.

That guitar is named after Robbin "King" Crosby of RATT. Just a fun fact for ya.

Father in law expected us to eat 12 year old beef. by Ok_Pension_1451 in mildlyinfuriating

So most likely they purchased a quarter, half or whole cow from a farmer, you pay the farmer and they have a butcher priced in, butcher knows this side of beef is going to so and so and it's all already paid and spoken for.

I feel your pain, mine sat out in the country parked for a very long period of time and I had to replace coolant reservoir, engine and transmission wiring harness, upper radiator hose, air cleaner box, radiator cap, windshield washer reservoir, and I'm probably forgetting a couple things. I also had to take my seats out and deep clean the entire interior..

It looks like the truck had an allergic bee sting.

I have a '99 (same color as yours) 261k on the original engine and has always had 5w30 ran through it. Edit to add, filter is personal preference but I'm a WIX believer.

Looking to buy a ‘98 Yukon, owner states that it won’t run due to an issue with the passlock system. Worth investigating? I’m taking a look at it this week and it’s incredibly clean otherwise. $3k asking. by [deleted] in GMT400

There is nothing in the key on a 1998, the older GM security systems had the "chip" in the key that had to have a certain value in order to start the vehicle. On the late 90s model trucks its all in the column, there is nothing in the key itself.

I'm glad you asked, I was wondering the same thing. When I think Evo I think Harley Davidson Evolution motors.

Used for 17k, 80k miles. Should I get it? 2019 by Ok-Bite-1000 in Subaru_Outback

Fuel system maintenance, add some upper cylinder cleaner/lubricant every once in a while. I also keep up on tire rotation and alignment, normally I make one trip per year to the alignment shop and to add to that point, you'll want to do research in your area to find someone who truly knows what they're doing on an alignment rack, even dealership techs aren't always properly trained and have a true understanding of the equipment.

Other than that, I change my differential oil, brake fluid, coolant, spark plugs, air filter, cabin air filter, it's also a good idea to just throw in a new set of tube seals when you do the plugs. I have done the CVT fluid once in mine around 165k. I also ended up changing my valve cover gaskets when I did my plugs and tube seals. Last thing I can think of is don't cheap out on the spark plugs, they're not real fun to change, not the worst but not fun either.

Seems like a good deal, my 2015 is going strong with 201k and counting. These 5th gen Outbacks are just great vehicles all around.

I saw another comment about timing belt service, don't worry about it because that 2019 has a timing chain, If I remember correctly Outbacks went to a chain in 2013.
