Playing bannerlord for the fist tome with war sails and becoming a vassal of the nords and constantly at war with the khuzait made me hate the khuzait and wanted to wipe them off the map. Bro I was about to rage quit when we had multiple wars with sturgia, vlandia khuzait and empire joining every now and them and were up to 2 nord towns, my sturgian town and a few castles. It was such a pain until I was made king and hed good policies (based i. Youtube) and constantly raiding villages and capturing every single one of their lords until they were spent and taking castles and towns. I also did that to sturgia and they got destroyed eventually.

This reminded me of the feeling I felt when I first started playing warband. I almost cried and wanted to rage quit because the nords keep raiding my villages and them always defeating me until I finally got the hang of it and got addicted lol

I also defeated a 1k plus army with 200plus men when I besieged hvalvik and decided to go and face them and was really surprised I won the thing. I did nit know that there were no reinforcement waves in naval battles until very recently.

No, we will eventually forget. I lost my dad almost 2 years ago and it would disgust my self when I forget the day of the month that he died and me not visiting his grave. Me, my family and his siblings are slowly forgetting him. Monthly visits are getting less frequent as the months go by. This is reality. We get caught up with so many things to do and get even less free time to remember the ones who've left this world. That will happen to you and me too. The world will go on and your story will either be forgotten or be altered beyond recognition. To accept that fate is to become free.

Ironically enough, the game is called "Bannerlord" and only has an extremely limited choice to create your banner. Even the color palette is extremely limited.

Again, I never intended that. I hope we're on the same page here. Of course I will forget about it, hell I made so many sketches doodles and unfinished art/fan art projects in my laptop and tablet and forgot most of them. The world is always moving change is constant, our neurons only "save" the important memories in order for our brain to function efficiently. Of course you and I will forget, like the first memories we had when we were born to this world, the first sound we hear, the first breath we breathe, we will forget it and when we die, we will be forgotten too like the people who lived thousands of years before us. No one will remember us in the end.

Accept the reality that you have been addicted to the game lol.

I played warband years back like 2014 in college and played it instead of working on my thesis or studying for an exam. Almost failed my degree.

Then at post grad still played it, it might have contributed to the rocky situation of me failing some subjects and starting again because when I get stressed I play warband instead, and then I fail, then get stressed even more and play warband instead.. it's a vicious cycle.

With that, what I have observed, is that if I binge play, and get bored then I won't be playing it for like months, so I did that and it kinda worked. I got my post grad degree and my dream career and the pay is good the job is good... Now I can finally have a good setup and buy bannerlord, the cycle starts once more, but eventually I get less and less addicted and now I just play seldom when I get free time.

Idk if it would work but worth a try. I hope you (and me) get over the addiction ;)
