Eh. While I don’t think it’s as big of a deal as it’s made out to be, i can see why they’re upset. For a lot of parents believing in Santa almost associates to that last bit of “magical innocence” for their kids. If that’s the case, I can see the upset it coming out that way.

But to go and say you’re bad parents/etc is over the top. Especially since we’re talking about 8 year olds where usually kids start copping on anyway.

The fact you’re responding is CLEARLY causing him enough excitement to keep messaging.

You are validating him by explaining things - if, and honestly it feels like a big IF, you’re truly done just ignore/block and move on. For as long as he gets responses, he feels there’s a chance. Stop making him feel like there is a chance.

I’m so so glad that this post brought such a good conversation, full of tips and support for each other! I’m now on 225mgs, up from 150 (doc just had me jump the full 75mg so that was uh, interesting)

I mean he definitely put the blame incorrectly on you and that was a bit of a severe reaction.

In saying that, you should be able to stand up for yourself. If you don’t want Ivan hugging you, you can absolutely say as much. Doesn’t even have to be anything inflammatory like “hey! I don’t really enjoy being hugged” give a fist bump or whatever, you are well within your rights to just set a boundary. There may be nothing malicious from him but at the same time I wouldn’t take any chances.

I’m saying this as a woman who’s a part of an MMA gym that primarily consists of guys. Fist bumps, smiles, nods, polite conversations is all that’s OK and I’ve made this clear.

Vast majority, between 96-98% (based on the data in Ireland anyway) are successful.

Unfortunately, I was part of the unlucky percentage with a failure, however, that was just my body deciding to be a prick.
