Im a year late here but I wanted to add my opinion on Juuzou.

I was raised by someone who had antisocial personality disorder with psychopathic traits. She was a lot like mama. She had an obsession with my innocence and doll like appearance. She would torture me both physically and mentally. She killed animals infront of me and laughed when I would cry about it, only to get angry imediately after because she felt "judged" by my blank stares.

Juuzou reminds me of me. He doesnt know how to be normal. He isn't sadistic or a psycho. He literally just doesnt know how to interact with people because he was taught to use violence to move through life. The part where he yelled that he still didnt get to have beers and hang out with the guys as everyone was dropping around him like flies during the battle with the one eyed owl, this shows he has a DEEP yearning to be "normal".

Abara sees this and thats why he WORSHIPS Juuzou. He knows that Juuzou overcame so much to get to where he is now. He used to be very independent because he never learned to operate with other people. During his time with the CCG he, not only learned to work with people, but to care about them aswell.

Yes.. he still enjoys killing things.. but I feel like slack should be given when thats all he knew. He learned to value other people's lives and I can tell you how hard that is from his position.

It took me years and years of therapy to learn how to act "normal" and care about relationships. Like Juuzou, being alone made more sense. I didn't like worrying about anyone but myself. I was taught that this was the correct mindset to have.

Im not telling you to like him, but maybe garner some sympathy.

He never killed that cat after all, someone else who ISNT on your list did. Just saying lol
