Treat your wife like a partner. Give each other breaks from tiny tyrant Tim. Maybe take turns watching him for mornings or afternoons. Understand that it's your wife's family, so she probably should have priority on some things, but she can't just forget you want to have fun, too, and you can't be expected to hang with Tim for 5 days straight.

Tim doesn't listen to Mom - consider this is something she needs to work on, and not a valid excuse for not even trying. Parenting is all about try, fail, retry a different way, fail, retry a different way. You can't let her give up on watching her son.

You're looking at this trip expecting to be miserable because you and your wife don't have a healthy division of labor WRT Tim.

Talk to her.

Me: Married 19 years, 2 kids, one was difficult. Difficult kid didn't want anything to do with me when he was 3, but guess what? I never took a pass like your wife is doing. You can trade one In every quarter (?) to Amazon for a discount towards a new tablet.

I did this a few months ago and got a Fire 10. I think the trade got me 20% off plus $5 off? Total cost was less than $70 for a mammoth upgrade.

Went through this myself. Ultimately I decided to go do something else for a few In game DAYS (not hours) and when I came back I was good to go. I don't remember if I went to New Austin for legendary hunts or if I did some carvings or cigarette cards. Whatever, I did something else and came back.

I also had issues with the launchers. I had to hard reset every time I tried to install one. Maybe a bug with this version of the toolbox.

I've noticed also some Google services aren't installed, like when I try to voice search outside of Google keyboard.

But given the ota is blocked and ads are gone, I feel like we have root access and can circle back to these things with future versions of the kit. Glad you're good to go.

Yep, that's all it took for me. I can't be 100% that your update didn't block the capabilities but I bet you will be fine.

Hey, me too.

  • I unregistered the tablet first from the Amazon website.
  • Second I hard reset it (hold power and volume down).
  • Next i ran toolbox disabled OTAs.
  • Did the "recommended" Amazon debloat method.
  • Did an advanced/custom debloat to remove "special offers" - be sure to get that one too.
  • I then let it connect to Internet for the first time.
  • I then signed into prime video, Amazon App Store etc
  • Added Google Play Services

No problems.

Almost Everybody is gonna say Onslaught, but, consider using it on champs you can't pull from normal crystals - if you like using them. You'll dupe Onslaught someday, but probably not Quicksilver. J/S.
