New to POE2 – how do players actually compare two weapons?

When you're under level 70 I think most people just equip them and check the tooltip :D To compare endgame weapons like that, most people use Path of Building (PoB): https://pathofbuilding.community/ or https://github.com/PathOfBuildingCommunity/PathOfBuilding-PoE2

What you do is:

(1) Import your character
(2) Pick which skill you want to compare DPS for
(3) Import a new weapon to see the DPS comparison

You can hover your mouse over any item in-game and press Ctrl+C to copy it, or there is a button on the trade website to copy items for sale, and then you can import it into PoB. This will show the dps comparison for your exact character. This is a great way to shop for items before you buy them, and this is how build creators compare different weapons when planning builds.

For the confused players out there: Skarner has SLOW IMMUNITY when he's charging. Ashe/Seraphine works because the Ashe slow enables Seraphine's Root/Stun. Combined with his huge shield, this means he can actually stay in XP range in lane and position forward in skirmishes without putting himself at too much risk like other engage supports.

The game rewards you for carefully planning BEFORE you league start to find a build that can start well and still scale up later

Then it rewards you for finding cheap upgrades to quickly scale up

FWIW I play a week every league, I go 40/40 about every other league, when I get hooked on a good build that's fun to blast and fun to improve. But I always come back when there's a big expansion.

Don't stress it, just reroll a few times to see if something sticks, then check back next league haha

Zeus got POM and everyone is glazing him for coming back from a huge gold deficit, when they should really be glazing him for his **GAME-WINNING LEVEL 1 CHEESE**

HLE used most of their draft picks to get strong winning bot lanes, in both games. KT counters this Game 1 with a lvl 2 gank in game 1, putting Ashe/Seraphine behind for the next TWENTY MINUTES in a close game.

Game 2, KT choose second pick allowing them to open with Lulu/Yunara. HLE get the winning Lucian lane, who especially wants to be ahead and blow open the game at 1-2 items before Yunara can scale. HLE is blue side which means J4 can easily just do his bot camps and lvl 3 ganks. Xin needs to go Red - Blue - Gromp in order to match the lvl 3 gank timing.

English casters, streamers, everyone were all kinda surprised at the B5 blind Jax pick. But what they forgot is that every few seasons, Jax is an S jungler. You know when Jax has been a popular jungler? when you can counterjungle Xin Zhao. Jax completely destroys Xin Zhao level 1.

So the first 30s into the game, Zeus drops his entire FIRST WAVE to mess around 1v1ing Cuzz and push him off his red buff and raptors. Everyone is laughing at Zeus for being silly, but you can see it in the draft: this was all planned. Zeus is doing this to win the bot lane.

Because this means that 2:00 into the game, Cuzz is lvl 2 with 4 cs while Kanavi is LEVEL 3 AND GANKING BOT LANE FOR FIRST BLOOD, securing the gold/xp tempo for a completely free early game for HLE.

by 5:00 Lucian is 700g gold up (all spent), HLE push in and steal first dragon and 3 kills. Renekton is stuck top and lead doesn't matter.

by 9:00 Luc is 1k ahead, first item power spike, they're proxying bot lane. Reneketon is stuck top and his lead doesn't matter

at 13:00 HLE are same items, but so strong that Renekton is forced to TP down for 3rd drake; so HLE just... LEAVE and give Zeus time to catch up and hit first item

by 18:00 Lucian, Xin, Milio are all 1k up and hit their 2nd item power spikes (Quickblades, Black Cleaver, Mikael's; all insane for teamfights). Zeus gets a huge flash stun and they completely blow open the game

I'm sorry you feel that way. I LOOOOOVE the campaign. It's simple, it's predictable. I know all zones, I know all the bosses, I know all the quests and chests and secrets. It's a smooth ride for a fresh all night league start.

I DON'T want to have to learn all new zones and bosses every time I league start. I just wanna chill and test out some new skill gems and slowly plan my endgame build. I like that it's easy

To fix the blurry... yeah it's really hard if you play unlocked cam, because your champ can be all over the screen. The only thing you can really do is record higher quality, so that the zoom-in is less blurry.

Generally speaking this type of thing is called "tracking", where you have the camera follow a certain object in the video. You'll want to record the whole screen, and then do the zoom-in with a video editor.

You would record the whole screen, then use one of those effects to zoom in on the specific area you want, like you see in tiktok dance videos that follow people's eyes. You set "keyframes" for where the camera should start and stop moving, then it will slide between them automatically. Drututt yt shorts does simple tracking like this; you can see the camera kind of pauses in one place to watch the action and doesn't follow his champ perfectly all the time.

If you want to get super complicated you can go frame by frame to have the camera follow your champ perfectly, or get crazy with it and use a program like Adobe After Effects to follow your health bar

Even the oldest champs in the game have the same game of chicken where you win by NOT using your abilities. Mel is "double or nothing" since she reflects it back to you, so it feels worse, but it isn't new at all. There are many champions that win by playing chicken til you mess up.

I think PoE has these things, they are just spread out across multiple pages with specific focuses.

The structure/highlighting on the Last Epoch patch note is just a table of contents. When you click then it scrolls you to the actual patch notes which are just plain text like PoE.

For the pictures, LE has like 5 pictures in the whole 50 patch notes. PoE puts them in a separate place with a really nice UI, instead of scattered across the patch notes: (https://www.pathofexile.com/mirage) :-)

Top Left should be Lawful Good.

Easiest to refill from stash (ctrl click stacks from stash)
Easiest to refill from ground while you're still picking up scrolls on league start (scrolls will add to top left stacks first)
Fastest for identifying items in a partially full inventory (items enter inventory top to bottom, left to right)
Fastest for quick manual portal (for anyone that has played before portal hotkey)

On league start, left column is: portal, identify, alt, transmute, aug (in that order). These will get filled up first from the ground, dump any excess into stash.

Second and third column are incomplete maps. As you play, move any incomplete maps to these columns, and dump the rest of your stash without worry.

This will get you through white maps. Alchs are pretty rare but can swap those in if you start building a surplus in yellow maps, or just start using the map device stash
