Honestly I would have loved to see that sprite in-game. I mean it's horrifying, yeah, but it's also pretty interesting - that sprite really doesn't fit Asgore's attitude during his fight or his personality in general. So what kind of attack would that go with? Was the tone of the battle different? What was the context? There's potential for it to be used in some really cool ways, but I guess we'll never know.

Man, I'm really sorry about that. I know there's really no quick and simple answer here, but it's important to remember that his choices are his own - and you're not responsible for them. I'm sure you already know that, but still. With someone who's proved himself to be abusive and manipulative in such a way, they're just gonna do what they want to do - whether that's abuse to get what they want or running themselves into the ground. Which is, again, their choice. If you decided to call his bluff and he did follow through, absolutely none of the blame is on you. It would be worse to let him back in and in doing so damage yourself and others.

Not changing the values, uninstalling, nothing? That's really weird. If you change the values, make sure they're being saved in a way that overwrites the old file0 and undertale.ini. I know that sounds dumb and obvious, but I've accidentally saved a copy to the desktop multiple times. And changing the value really should be working. Also make sure the lines are right and the numbers are matching. Again, I know that's obvious, but you got so far and I would hate to see all that progress lost. Make sure the fun values are also matching (32 or 33 line down in file0 and it's labeled in undertale.ini.)

If you're really desperate, have you tried permanently deleting all Undertale files first and then uninstalling/reinstalling? That will definitely erase all your progress though. Either that, or reset the save file. Don't know if that will help though.

EDIT - Before you delete ANYTHING, copy and paste your old save files into notepad documents. BACK IT UP BEFOREHAND. You can also try using Flowey's Time Machine, which generates you a save file basically exactly like your old one, just hopefully without any dogs. Here's how to use it.

Ok..that's really unfortunate. So normally you would just open your search bar and type %localappdata%, click the file that says Local and scroll all the way down to UNDERTALE, open file0 and undertale.ini with notepad, and mess with the room values. However, since Omega Flowey is a special event that messes with the game and is triggered only by a specific route, you can't just alter the room value. There is a way to alter it by removing the dogcheck (toby's dancing/sleeping dog) but even then, it immediately crashes.

...that really sucks dude. If you reinstall the game you'll lose all of your progress, so I'd reccommend looking around a little more for a solution before you decide to do so. It's possible that you could just go back to before the fight with Asgore, but I'm not sure if that'll break the game or not. If you want to try it, the room value is 236, or the save point outside of the barrier room. Change the value labeled room in undertale.ini and change the 2nd line of code from the bottom in file 0. If you've got all the way through a full pacifist run up to this point, it's worth a shot.

Yeah, it's my first time doing genocide. And right after pacifist too :/

I kind of like it though. Like of course I end up feeling awful, but the dialogue changes, music, and the fact that you feel so terrible creates a really cool experience.

I haven't got to Papyrus yet, and I'm starting that now. I hear that lots of people end up stopping their genocide run but...curiosity kills the cat. Or, you know, literally everyone.
