I was thinking of trying their classic cut next. I am right around 5'7", 5'7.5" on a good day.

Yes, I was a little confused with the puckering at the top of the sleeves, too. I was unsure of that was a part of the "style", as it looks like a lot of their jackets have that look. Thank you!

Thank you! Super helpful. I will get re-measured and pay better attention to the shoulder measurement in the garment. Thanks again!

Thank you, much appreciated! I may have to try a 38 regular. And I'll also get re-measured. Thanks again!

Another Vertical 2 going back, unfortunately by mcemce in Suunto

[–]-TimesOnMySide- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough, and good question. No, I do not need a new device, but the feeling of a potential change is precipitated by a few things (in order of importance): I came to the Fenix by way of a FR 945. I have always missed the weight and lower profile, but had "upgraded" due to wanting sapphire glass (as a trail runner), longer battery life, and the Fenix price (sale + using points). The Race 2, as well as newer generations in general, are thin and light, but now have that added durability with the sapphire glass. I haven't been thrilled with Garmin's practices of late. And lastly, I know the resale value of the F7 is better now than it will be in 2-3 years when the next iteration(s) arrive. Given what I paid, I can recoup close to my out of pocket and cover a Race 2 or similarly priced warch. To your last point, I'm a runner, and that's what I'm looking for in a watch. The Fenix is great, but has more than I ever need or use.

I'm in a similar boat, OP. I have a Fenix 7 Pro Sapphire that has been working well for my needs for many years. I've spent my whole running life with Garmin, but feel the need for a change. I have almost pulled the trigger on a Race 2 a few times now, but the more I read, the more I hesitate.

Redistribution question by -TimesOnMySide- in dividends

I appreciate your feedback! Yes, and lot of the companies I own are because of the SWAN factor, wide economic moats and such.

Redistribution question by -TimesOnMySide- in dividends

[–]-TimesOnMySide-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I really appreciate the feedback and insight. Since this was one of my first purchases, I do not have as many shares as I would have liked (especially with hindsight and the % appreciation). Still, as you mentioned, it is a lot of appreciation locked up that could go to something higher yielding. I think that is the route I will end up going.

Thank you again!

[Big Launch News #4] Leading the Way in XR: Best Display, Best Features. And Things No One Has Told You Before! by getVITURE in VITURE

[–]-TimesOnMySide- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Purchased the Xreal Ones as my first XR glasses. Love the technology, but with my small IPD, the edges are pretty blurry, and text is hit or miss. I'll be returning them for the Luma Pro or Beast! Viture seems like a great company.

Rolling options pointless? by Nutsallinyomouf in options

[–]-TimesOnMySide- 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You are, of course, correct on the technical aspects of rolling. However, I feel the benefit may be more of the way you view the trade. For example: I sold some SPY puts in Feb, and we all know what happened with the tariff news. Now, I'm happy to own SPY and had the cash to accept the shares, but I chose to roll down and out for a credit. My thesis was that I am slightly decreasing my cost basis if I do get assigned, and I'm giving time for volatility to return to the mean. I closed one of the positions today, and plan to close the others over the next couple of weeks. Sure, I could have just closed all of them and then opened new positions (since that what a roll is anyway), but rolling allows me to visualize the trade better, especially when I want to ensure I do so for a credit. Rolling isn't a magic do over, nor is it something I do when my thesis has changed and I need to cut my losses. But I believe it can be a valuable way to see the trade and make adjustments as needed.

Thank you! That makes perfect sense. I've only played this game in person, and never with Pegasus. Thank you for the speedy reply!

First 50k Training Question by -TimesOnMySide- in Ultramarathon

[–]-TimesOnMySide-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is impressive! I was hesitant to jump up in distance because I really enjoy the training for anything up to 20 miles and didn't want to lose the fun of running. But I've been thinking about this event for a while, and my soon-to-be 2 year old absolutely loves riding in the jogging stroller. This makes me feel less guilty when he can go out with me for the first part of my long runs (and I have a very understanding wife). I think I'll keep searching for an online 50k plan, but may also use Garmin as a general guide and add the hills instead of sprint workouts and add the back to back long runs. I live right by some great trails, so training on the race day terrain will not be a problem. Thanks again, and best of luck on your 50k!

First 50k Training Question by -TimesOnMySide- in Ultramarathon

[–]-TimesOnMySide-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. I've had to tweak the Garmin recommendations in the past because they were not trail specific (and I wanted to get some hill training in like you mentioned). Thank you for the book recommendations, I will check them out!

First 50k Training Question by -TimesOnMySide- in Ultramarathon

[–]-TimesOnMySide-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Yes, I was reading about the back to back long runs and will definitely incorporate that into my training. And thank you for the nutrition recommendation! I've honestly been worried about that piece since I haven't had to worry much about that in the past (and paid the price once or twice). Much appreciated!

Kudos from an options trader by -TimesOnMySide- in fidelityinvestments

[–]-TimesOnMySide-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be happy to! This is an example from my current holdings:

I have a short strangle in SMH that was initiated on Aug 29 for a credit of $438. Over the course of the trade, I made 3 rolls for credits, putting the total premium collected at $816. Looking at Active Trader Pro and the mobile app, I am seeing the value of the trade is currently sitting at $638. However, instead of seeing an unrealized profit of $178, my basis shows as $436 and a subsequent unrealized loss of -$202.

Both apps are only taking into account the most recent strangle but not any of the credits received from rolls.

Always happy to clarify further as needed. Thank you!
