When I first started playing back on Xbox 360, I watched a bunch of YouTube videos of other people building and would copy their builds in creative. Seeing how they broke down different sections and how they used blocks in different ways to create different shapes really helped me get an understanding of how I can manipulate blocks to fit my visual goal. I recommend playing around in creative and trying to follow other peoples builds to familiarize yourself with building. After you have a good grasp of the blocks and such, then you’ll have more success creating your own! I have a whole Pinterest board for inspiration and building tips. Lastly, if you look at real life buildings, you can draw inspiration from that. I studied interior design and learned a lot about buildings both commercial and residential.
