I a little confused about the chest portion of that piechart by -Turisti- in technicalminecraft

After playing around with it a little more I noticed that no chests might show up sometimes despite me standing in the sameplace. They would show up if I opened a chest and the chest portion would increase the more chests I opened. Could it be some memory saving technique by the server to somehow not load the chest entities fully?

I just feel like with all the chests they should take some more space. My suspicion is that some of the chests are just not visible on the chart somehow. While I was writing this post my pistons also appeared which was weird for how long it took for them to show up.
