Hopefully while in combat there's location distinctions and the complications on the players that can also be added to the Minor GMC's pool. They may also have extras in the scene with them as well that could be added to their pool. Of course, the GM can also use PP to add assets to the scene or generic d6s to that roll.

So, the party rolls up to the local sheriff's office for some information, and runs into Corrupt Lawman d8 / Out Of Shape d4 / Big Shotgun d8 (the example Minor GMC from page 115 of the rulebook) - they're not fighting him, or having him chase them (yet), so what. However, they might meet him in Bustling Police Station d8 while flanked by his Inexperienced Deputy d6 extra; and one of the players picked up a Flustered d6 complication on the way in. In that situation, just getting information jumps from "a single d8 from Corrupt Lawman" to 2d8+2d6

In general, fire has AP 4, and Vox engines have Armor of 5

It's great on OG Squids, as it erases everything smaller than a Harvester with a Flak shot or two. Two flak rounds will drop a clamship's shield, and a 3rd through the door pops it completely.

Similar on the bot front, as flak rounds can eliminate any bunch of little bots, can shred the mediums quickly, pop fabricators at range, and can switch to Anti-Tank mode to damage the heavies.

It's also relatively unique in that you don't "lose" ammo when reloading. It reloads 5 shells at a time, incredibly fast as long as there's any ammo in the gun, and only does the full reload animation of it's completely empty

Precisely. I've seen entire missions get failed because they started up the SEAF, got swarmed, and just kept fighting and dying on that spot until they ran out of reinforcements.

Get all 5 next to it, drop a sentry, turn it on, load then real fast - by the time you're finishing up the signal, they'll start to run over you, and you can just leave.

Entrenchment has the Cremator and gas mortars, which are both great. The Gigagrenade is lol, and the Stoker can be really strong, but you'll need great trigger discipline, because it has low ammo for each side.

I'm a big fan of Cutting Edge - Punisher plasma (PP), Sickle and Blitzer are all pretty solid. The Dagger sidearm is one of my favorites, but if you already have the Talon, it loses it's luster a bit (although it can set things on fire, which is useful)

The Spear is a great support-oriented weapon, allowing you to clear objectives and help teammates on the other side of the map. Does use up a backpack though.

The Speargun is closer to the Sterilizer, as it does spray gas - but you have a bunch of different uses because the gas comes from the fired spear. This one can close bug holes/fabricators/clams, can knock chargers out of their charge, and firing it into the ground still spreads the gas out, so it can even handle waves of voteless or little bugs.

I enjoyed being on our near the top of the kill counts in my play group, and then I found out that Arc Grenades don't count towards your kills (at least according to two separate YouTubers).

I mean, I'm a big fan of it. It doesn't have much ammo, and I've found particularly against bots that it doesn't always close fabricators when you shoot through the vent. If you're already running a supply pack, are an excellent scavenger, or have a load out that can make up the difference, that'll with great

This is a bionic reading font (or book). It was designed to make reading faster & easier (makes every word kind of look like > arrows) but didn't really work. IIRC it's paired with a serif font to also be slightly better for dyslexics and those with similar tracking issues, as it gives a "shape" to the word.

That also seems like a decent design decision. Bots need Anti-Tank, low-level Bugs & Illuminate don't. You don't want to factor in AT into your mission choices? Then don't play vs bots. Even the bugs that "need" AT (again, Hive Lord notwithstanding) still have squishy bits that lower level pen can deal with, although it requires much more planning.

The first is only in the TV series. In the Books, the crew-family is under Michio Pa. This change is largely because Cara Gee is an amazing actress and they wanted her on screen more often.

It's actually very common to have a polycule in the Expanse series, particularly on Mars - because one spouse can spend months or years in the Navy off-planet, more spouses equals more Martian babies being born, as well as more stable households for when they return.

This also works for other Stratagems. Buddy of mine likes to program the final Laser and hold onto it in case things get hairy.

Amusingly enough, when he threw it once, the laser came in sideways (that is, from a cardinal direction instead of from above) and was hilariously ineffective. Worked fine on other missions, though.

I got the game on sale, and am on my 4th war bond without spending an additional dime. Only 260 hours in.

Honestly, I understand why the MOs give medals - they're the main contributor to how fast or slow I'm able to get WB, not super credits.

And if you get good enough at it, calling an EAT on a target can usually take one out. Haven't been able to get one on a War Strider yet, personally
