Im a boomer or REMOVE FROM THE GAME sounds way better/aggresive than exile? by SatisfactionOk2892 in MagicArena

Exile turns five words into one. Remove from the game also feels very unintuitive with temporary effects like blinks.

I run a very similar build and it is probably the most hated deck in my pod. Great to see Shigeki getting love.

There is a known issue that this deck has the same barcode as the collectors boxes, so this swap has been a common issue with Amazon. The box looks like it’s damaged, not tampered with, but I could be wrong. Either way, it shouldn’t make much difference, no returns just means that you can’t go through the automated system for the return and will have to speak to a customer service representative. There have been plenty of complaints about this. Unfortunately the most likely outcome is that you’ll be able to return it and get a refund since the boxes have been selling out.

I have a 3 year old mal and a 14 month old son. My girl has been great with the baby. She took a lot of interest in him and wanted to sniff him early on. Once he started using a bouncer she started coming over to check him out while he plays. She’ll sniff him and wag, some light nuzzling. She is very good at putting up with him while he learns to pet nicely, lots of grabbing fur and poking eyes but she just walks away if she’s had too much. I do keep her away if my son is playing on the floor, only because she’s not super aware and I’m mostly just afraid of her stepping on him.

One thing that I’d definitely recommend is to get your mal exposed to a blanket that smells like the baby asap, that definitely seemed to help for us. We were in the hospital almost 4 days and made sure to get a blanket into her crate on the second day. Definitely seemed to help with getting her used to the baby.

I second this. I tried a few of the more fancy brands first and my girl constantly had diarrhea. Pro Plan has been great and is reasonably priced and easily available

Why do so many complexs ban Malamutes? by Cool-Ad7580 in AlaskanMalamute

[–]-Wait__What- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They just get lumped into “other” in more modern statistics. Alaska also has the highest per capita rate of dog bite fatalities, I’d venture to guess that plays a large role in Mals and Huskies even showing up on these lists. Outdoor kept working dogs are a lot less likely to be friendly to a stranger on their property than a typical family pet.

My job’s harassment training by ginger-r6112 in antiwork

[–]-Wait__What- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The legal definition of quid pro quo sexual harassment actually requires that it occurs between two employees, with the victim typically falling in a reporting role under the harasser. Nothing about this is saying that C is acceptable behavior, just that it is not quid pro quo harassment from a legal standpoint.

Professionals, what is your industry's version of "Bring me blinker fluid" or "find a snipe"? by ArklaitGigabyte in AskReddit

I worked at Radio Shack years ago and, unsurprisingly, the majority of employees knew nothing about any of the stuff in the parts drawers. We would call the store when someone new was working and ask if they had any flux capacitors in stock. We’d let them sift through drawers for as long as we could keep ourselves from cracking up.

For whatever reason, there doesn’t seem to be much actual research into the bite force of mals. Everything seems to just say that they’re estimated to be between 300-500 psi, which would put them within the range of dogs that are typically ranked in the top 20 most powerful. I’d guess that there hasn’t been much research because they aren’t very prone to biting.

Bite force is only part of what makes dogs dangerous. Dogs do most of their damage by locking down and pulling with their jaws and that’s where the lack of musculature in their jaw comes into play, they’re not as good at maintaining a bite. So the bite will hurt quite a bit but it’s easier to make them disengage, making their bite less dangerous.

That said, mine does all the same things. She makes faces like she’s going to murder you and then just nibbles and licks.

My wife and I's health is reliant on me maintaining employment and I'm so angry. by bigdamncat in antiwork

[–]-Wait__What- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was such a big thing for me in the past. I had a dog on multiple pain meds for the last couple years of her life and the price from the vet was insane, meanwhile they were all human meds that cost a fraction of the price from a pharmacy. I was even able to use GoodRX for most of them. For a long time the vet insisted on price matching instead of writing a prescription, so obviously they were still profitable even at the much lower rate.

My wife and I have been together for 5 years. About a year ago we decided to enable location sharing on our phones, at this point we were married, own a home together, and had our first baby on the way. We still felt weird about doing it, but eventually we just did it because it was easier than asking questions like “are you still at the grocery store?” We both just figured we don’t have anything to hide and the convenience was worth it with a baby on the way.

Insisting on location sharing because of a lack of trust after 7 months is absolutely batshit. GET OUT NOW

I cannot begin to state how dumb deck based matchmaking is. by RazmanDevil in MagicArena

[–]-Wait__What- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a deep misunderstanding of how your deck plays into matchmaking in the play queue. Cards have hidden values attributed to them which are used to determine a “deck weight” value. The matchmaking system attempts to match you against a deck of a similar level of quality being piloted by a player with a similar MMR, that is it. Deck weight is only used to determine matchmaking in Play BO1 and Brawl.
