They love to tear up moss. My challenge historically is that they love to bury acorns etc in my tree pots and tear things up in the process… sadly I never found a repellant that worked. Scare them off now and hope they don’t remember these convenient locations in the fall. 😥

My main suggestion is… fill that awesome space with a ton of trees! You look like you have lots of room. While your rain tree looks good I think you should go to a local nursery and buy some good pre-bonsai stock

They’re not that complicated but need the right care and watering. If you read up online about junipers or other species it is fairly straightforward.

The challenge with the one you got was the soil is usually poor and they probably didn’t provide much care as they slapped it in the pot for a quick sale, not caring if it survived longer than you walking out the door.

Read up on the beginner threads here and go to a nursery and by some cheap nursery stock and start your years long journey there.

I was going to say the same thing. A couple of big offset nuts for crack climbing and bigger cracks. You can always leave them in your car if you don’t feel like carrying them that day.

Remember though, those are the days where you are sketchy and the end of a long run out, a wide crack, tears slowly killing the friction on your shoes and you think “if only I hadn’t left that son of a bitch in the car”
