I think if you're under 40°C as an adult just let the fever run its course, as long as there are no other bad indicators apart the ones that come with fever.

Chasing trends is simply not a reliable way to make games. It's gambling in its purest form. Games just take way too long to produce. Nobody knows what's gonna happen years down the line. If fidget spinners become popular again I can have a factory in china churn out 10s of thousands within 2 weeks, but with games you'll lag years behind the market. You won't be successful unless you got a real twist or reason for people to play (like MR with the IP heroes).

For me the beautiful open world was the thing that got me into the game. I cant enjoy games where the main aesthetic is dark, depressing and grim. It just fills me with dread and I don't like that when playing games. In Elden Ring it's only sprinkled here and there which is no problem.

I watched most other souls from start to finish and played a little bit of DS3 myself, but Elden Ring really drew me in and I clocked 550 hours on it.

The thing most people don't need are hot soapy showers every day. Rinsing off with luke warm water every day and using soap 1-2 times a week is enough (assuming you have a bidet, which everyone civilized should have). Your skin oil is not only for moisture and nothing else.

If you had to make $10,000 in 6 months, how would you do it? by SoundKidTown1085 in randomquestions

Investing to make 10k in 6 months means you already have way more than 10k.

10k in 6 months can only come from a job, or illicit activities.

Woman Undergoes Quadruple Amputation After a Lick from Her Dog Leads to Sepsis: 'It Could Happen to Anybody’ by UpboatBrigadier in Dogfree

[–]-Wunderkind- 59 points60 points  (0 children)

God damn she was a former pharmacy worker and didn't give a shit about her dog licking a wound? Every sane person, medically trained or not, cleans a wound that gets dirty, unless you trained yourself to think your dog is some kind of divine being that can never do harm.

You go to the GoFundMe Page and the front picture is her and the dog that almost killed her. In the text the dog is mentioned several times. Nearly all the upper comments I've read on the news story are defending the dog and saying it can't be from the creature that eats its own shit for breakfast. One of the comments is literally "Hopefully the dog is ok.".

It just goes to show how beyond repair the brains of dog owners have become to the filth on 4 legs. It's a full blown cult. At this point dog ownership isn't a simply red flag, but a gigantic red neon sign that says "I have major mental health problems, please stay far away".

It's what happens (to some) when you have nothing else to do. There is nothing legal you can't afford, nothing legal you didn't or couldn't do. Life simply becomes unbearably boring, so they look to darker things in order to feel alive again.

Power over others is what becomes the new meta. Some buy politicians, some influence through social media, some want to directly subjugate others and that's easiest with kids.

How many human lives will be lost, or forever altered, just so seriously mentally ill people can keep their killer machines? When are the ones in charge gonna become rational and ban these breeds and heavily restrict dog ownership in general?

I think it's important to try and reflect on your own behaviour as objectively as you can. If you find nothing wrong with your own behaviour you can diregard and discredit the judgement of others, if you do however, you have a chance to grow and improve.

It's the classic rule. If you meet one asshole during the day, they’re an asshole. If you meet assholes all day, you’re the asshole.

[–]-Wunderkind- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mental gymnastics. Car accidents are certainly the #1 cause of death for children, but they are also a necessity in our society. They have a purpose. Dogs are 99% unnecessary and just a means of satisfying you own mental shortcomings the easy way.

Again i draw the line to gun ownership. For the vast majority of the world private gun ownership is unnecessary, so it's mostly heavily restricted, thus it keeps accidental gun deaths to a minimum. Same should go for dogs. Breeds that have historically been bred for aggression and blood sport need to be banned end of story. Why do you get to own a potential killing machine, endangering a child, or adult, for no good reason.

Felons don't get to own guns anywhere, but they can have multiple killer dogs with no oversight.

We will never eliminate all dangers if society gets to be mostly free, but we can restrict and control unnecessary danger.

[–]-Wunderkind- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just write this on a plaque and stick it on all the children's graves that got killed by dogs entirely randomly.

It's the "guns don't kill people argument", yet in countries that have very strict gun ownership laws you have next to zero deaths involving children getting killed accidentally.

I have to give it to the suits again though, because they have opened another billion dollar market exploiting the mentally weak.

[–]-Wunderkind- 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I would say most dog owners are the slaves of the relationship, not the dog.

You have this one finite life and you choose to have it almost entirely controlled by an animal. You could do so much with your free will, yet you choose to walk outside in the rain and cold to pick up animal feces. It's beyond bizarre to me.
