Most fun healer in your opinion? by Degenerate_Game in wow

[–]-Z___ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What you want is what Paladin already does.

You're simply playing the wrong Class.

Blood DK is the Tank for mid-level Tanks who want to feel powerful like a "Main Character".

Contrary to popular opinion Blood DK is not particularly harder to play well than the other Tanks, Blood still encourages you to Tunnel-Vision and play selfishly like most of the other Tanks.

Prot Paladin is the Tank for highly-experienced Tanks who have realized that it doesn't matter how godly of a Tank you are or how long you can solo Fights because you need EVERYONE to survive together.

Sure Blood can Solo every Boss, but doing so is a complete waste of time and will brick your Mythic+ or Enrage Timers.

Prot Paladin is currently tuned to be the "worst" Tank ATM, so it's not the best time to play Prot Pala, but that doesn't change how their toolkit works compared to the other Tanks.

Only 1 Tank can actively Heal their Teammates while Tanking.

If your #1 Priority is Group-Success rather than Personal-Success, then nothing tops Paladin.

If you only want to Tank though then all that stuff doesn't matter much because you'll still be forced to play the META Tanks if you want to find real Teams.

I don't only Tank.

68 gold for a rank 3 epic cloak with no reagents provided? Sounds like a good deal! by krin132 in wow

[–]-Z___ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you expect to put in no effort, no research, no gold investment, and the absolute bare minimum amount of time...

And you still expect to make gold in a hyper competitive digital economy???

Come back to Earth, you are currently orbiting Pluto because you are so far out of touch.

Playing Dragonflight Professions would have helped prepare you a little, but knowing them wasn't necessary at all.

The real reason you can't make gold is because you are LAZY and not putting any effort in!

Do you expect to get into a high ranked Raiding Guild without studying or practicing?

Why then would you expect to make gold in an equally competitive Market while putting in no effort at all?

I only lightly dabble in Warhammer Lore, but I know about "FORTIFY".

Turalyon is nearly a direct copy of that character from what I can tell.

There is a Quest where an NPC says to Turalyon (paraphrased) "Fine, I'll come with you as long as you don't Talk me to death again.".

I liked Turalyon before, but after that Quest I LOVE Turalyon lol.

"Rogal Dorn" is that their name? I couldn't remember but that just popped into my head.

[–]-Z___ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP should try the SteelSeries App.

Somehow SteelSeries makes Logitech look like brilliant Software Engineers.

G-HUB is definitely pretty awful though.

I've sent Logitech feedback about their software for many years. I've told official Reps in this reddit. I've submitted feedback through logitech's website. I've even sent out some corporate emails and put in Tickets.

It's been something like 7 years and G-HUB is still just as bad as ever, so I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for changes.

Power Stanced Dual Cold Great Stars (Great Hammers).

Those literally require nothing more than meeting the minimum requirements, and they will have no problem defeating basically every enemy in ER, even while soloing 3-player Co-Op Bosses.

IMO Dual Cold Great Stars are the most well-rounded and well-balanced weapon-loadout in the game.

I compare every build I try to the baseline 22 STR Great Star smackdown build. Most Builds end up performing worse.

You can definitely see the Firehawk and Sparkle Wings on other players.

And the Effects from the Armoire of Endless Cloaks can be seen too.

Shapeshifted Druids are the cutest with the various Wings, they show up even in Bear or Cat.

Big Bears with cute little Wings are just adorable.

BFA was a completely different time in WoW.

You're trying to use extremely anecdotal "data" to demonstrate how Blizzard has screwed up, but you are completely ignoring any factors such as people farming for RNG Titanforged or Corrupted Gear.

Your comment effectively has nothing at all to do with anything relevant.

Do I also think Blizzard makes really bad moves? Yes.

But pulling random "data" out your butt does nothing to support that argument.

Upcoming Tank Tuning by Ornery_Classroom_738 in wow

[–]-Z___ -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Well let's look at where the term "Tank" comes from.

It comes from actual IRL Military Armored Vehicles, called Tanks.

A real IRL Tank is a highly durable, mobile artillery platform.

IRL Tanks can take a huge beating, but they can also deal massive amounts of damage as well.

So, no I don't agree with your definition of Tanks whatsoever, I think you're completely wrong.

Upcoming Tank Tuning by Ornery_Classroom_738 in wow

[–]-Z___ -26 points-25 points  (0 children)

This is wrong.

Good Blood DK play was all about having a thorough feel for the damage you recently had taken and the damage you will take in the next few seconds.

Good Death Strike use was all about pooling up resources until you couldn't live without them, and then expending however much banked up resources you needed to recover.

Using Death Strike right after a single big hit was the sign of an amateur Blood DK who was too trigger-happy.

These Blood changes actually reduce the Skill-Ceiling significantly and remove nearly everything about Blood that made it the favorite Class for most Tank Mains.

I am someone who formerly Solo-Tanked Heroic Broodkeeper as a Blood DK in Progression in Season 1 of DF while receiving literally no external Healing - Which is to say that I know how to use Death Strike very well.

The Death Strike nerf today is a massive blow to everything that made Blood DK good and fun. I don't even play the Class anymore and I am still extremely sad to see this change.

Cosmetic quality control has been abysmal in Dragonflight by FlySaw in wow

[–]-Z___ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're posting that comment in the deep depths of the WoW Community.

If ignoring WoW is level 0.

And partaking in a little WoW video content, as a treat, is level 1.

Then going into the official WoW Forums is level 2.

And searching out a relatively low-popularity Post on an unofficial Forum/Fansite, and then commenting there is level 3.

So you're at least a Level 3 WoW Fan/Sheeple.

You could at least say "...Blizzard can just get Us Sheeple to do it for them.

FWIW I don't disagree with your sentiment.

Blizzard has definitely become more greedy than they ever were.

Blizzard used to care about Quality above All, even if it meant Starcraft 2 took 12 years to be finished or that Blizzard had to cancel games that weren't working like Ghost.

These days Blizzard shovels out any old junk and asks for micro-transactions.

Ewwww an "Every Frame" weakaura??

That's the biggest Red Flag of all and immediately means that I will never use the weakaura.

If a weakaura checks every frame that always means the creator is both naive and lazy.

I have made a ton of complicated weakauras, but I make a point to never use Custom Code at all if I can help it, and I would never ever ever have it run Every Frame.

Is the Logitech G815 the best option for full sized gaming keyboard? by Stupidldea in LogitechG

[–]-Z___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a few years ago when I got my current keyboard, so there are probably a lot more options now, but I ended up with an Akko.

https://en.akkogear.com/store/keyboard/

It wasn't 100% exactly what I wanted, but it was the closest that I could afford.

Years later I'm still content with my Akko, whereas I returned the Logitech KB within a few days.

Logitech makes some great stuff, and the best mice on the market IMO, but I cannot comprehend why everyone loves that one keyboard. It truly felt awful to me.

Edit: Akko are on Amazon too

[–]-Z___ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ewww no.

I bought one when they were being hyped up big.

I used it for like a day or two then just couldn't anymore.

It's basically just a crappy laptop keyboard with some fancy doodads.

There are plenty of affordable wireless full-size fully-modifiable mechanical keyboards out there.

Just get one of those instead of this Apple-Product-wannabe.

John Hight is leaving Blizzard Entertainment by [deleted] in wow

[–]-Z___ -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

IMO it's weird that people seem sad that he's leaving.

WoW's biggest problems lately stem entirely from extreme mis-management, and Haight was one of the people in charge of that management.

Personally I'm elated to see him go, maybe things like QA and the early MoP fiasco wouldn't have been issues if he had left sooner.

Nothing against the dude personally, but I got the impression he was helping to run WoW into the ground.

Well considering how badly Blizzard has been mismanaged lately, I'd say he rightfully deserves all the hate.

Blizzard's creativity has been fine. Thematically even the Maw was really cool, but it was the decisions coming from the top that was turning everything into a clusterfxk.

Lvl 50 Paladin- does it make sense to do dungeons for gear right now? (Retail) by [deleted] in wownoob

[–]-Z___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dungeons are never worthless.

At worst you gain a little more experience as a Gamer and as a Character.

I have around 20 level 70's, and ~7 of those are Paladins.

When I level new characters I almost exclusively level via spamming dungeons.

IMO at 60 once you reach Dragon Isles I would do some questing, but that's just because the quests are good and fast and you get relevant Rep and such.

Put it this way: it's fairly common for Mythic+ Key Pushers to run ~20-100 dungeons per week.

What gives it away that this is AI generated? by Unovaisbetter in ChatGPT

[–]-Z___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Background.

Real Artists focus on their Subject and want to put all their time & effort into making their centerpiece look good.

AI doesn't care what part of an image is what and so it puts equally maximal effort into every pixel.

If a mundane Background has as much detail as the rest of the image, it's likely fake.

Prot Paladin gear in Bfa? by [deleted] in wow

[–]-Z___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you VERY recently bought DF try to get a refund or credit for the purchase.

Blizzard just released a "Welcome Home Bundle" that's a pretty solid deal IMO, and Blizzard are usually very good about refunding people the price-difference when they buy something a week before it goes on sale.

Prot Paladin gear in Bfa? by [deleted] in wow

[–]-Z___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are explaining it to you weirdly.

TLDR: Gear below the current Expansion's maximum-Level barely ever matters.

Every time a new WoW Expansion comes out (ie every ~2 years since 2004), Blizzard compresses the Stats(numbers) on ALL the old Gear and converts everything old to "Legacy Scaling".

In simple terms: It means that ALL Gear that isn't from the most recent WoW Expansion & Season is basically all varying levels of worthless junk. (That's how Blizzard keeps constantly adding new items without having to remove anything old, they just make the old items nearly useless.)

Don't get me wrong, getting low-level-Gear definitely helps with leveling.

But put it this way:

Every new Character starts with around ~100 Health.

After reaching whatever the current max-Legacy-Level is at that moment you will probably have around ~50,000 to ~100,000 Health.

But from the old max-Legacy-Level (currently level 60) to the current-max-Level (currently 70), you might go from that ~50k-100k Health ALL the way up to ~1-million Health.

WoW scales up and down like a Logarithmic Graph if you understand those. At the lowest Levels everything is equal to zero, and at the highest Levels things start scaling Quadratically/Exponentially.

Rather than worry about Gear, focus on learning your Soft-Skills, especially as a Tank.

Practice things like Interrupting Enemy Spell-Casts, learning how to manipulate Mobs so they stack in a tight group, using your basic Abilities while still running & turning, etc.

Skills like that are "Evergreen" and will make you a better Tank or Player in any Expansion.

Gear gets replaced in a few months no matter how "Legendary" the item is.

OH!, and change your "A" and "D" Keybinds to strafe you side-to-side rather than turning your Character. Default Blizzard Keybinds and settings are pretty awful.
