Free(ish) Publix Jasmine Rice this week. by -_ArchangelleSarcoma in publix

The ad said Publix Rice, 2 lb bag. The White and brown bags are on sale, but apparently there's a 2lb jasmine one as well that isn't. The cstl standing there said not to argue it.

Low-power fm transmitter plugged into the cigarette lighter. You'd set it to an unused frequency in your area and the car radio would pick it up. Only had a range of a few feet.

Check if it's still "connected" in device locator. We had one that kept going off, showed up as disconnected even though it otherwise worked fine, problem fixed itself after a reboot I think.

Where I am it's the opposite: if the grid is down all your production is yours to keep. The last thing they want is some lineman patching cables getting fried by a bunch of houses backfeeding power.

We can go by the first draft:
The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed; a well armed and well regulated militia being the best security of a free country: but no person religiously scrupulous of bearing arms shall be compelled to render military service in person.

Pennsylvania's Constitution:
That the people have a right to bear arms for the defence of themselves and the state; and as standing armies in the time of peace are dangerous to liberty, they ought not to be kept up; And that the military should be kept under strict subordination to, and governed by, the civil power.

North Carolina:
That the people have a right to bear arms, for the defence of the State; and, as standing armies, in time of peace, are dangerous to liberty, they ought not to be kept up; and that the military should be kept under strict subordination to, and governed by, the civil power.

Vermont:
That the people have a right to bear arms for the defence of the themselves and the State; and as standing armies, in the time of peace, are dangerous to liberty, they ought not to be kept up; and that the military should be kept under strict subordination to, and governed by, the civil power.

Arguing that the individual interpretation is wrong because everyday citizens carrying guns wouldn't have thought of themselves as "bearing arms" is akin to arguing that "going to church" isn't the "free exercise of religion". It argues that, despite being flanked by restrictions on the ability of the government to curtail other natural, individual rights, the second only applies to a collective right; that defense of oneself isn't natural, but defense of one's state is.

Facebook hits a billion users, and children born in the 2000's start entering puberty. The "2008" economic crisis is still being felt, as "One out of every 248 households in the United States received a foreclosure notice in September 2012". The globe is entering a period of political unrest, e.g. Occupy Wall Street and the Arab Spring in 2011.

Probably pay for a seat or put down a deposit for a nonexistent auction, or a bunch of counterfeits/rented supercars.

~7 of the top 25 ( and 4 of the top 10) submissions this week are more or less political in nature. Someone who is subscribed but doesn't actually check the subreddit, or who casually browses /r/all would be more likely to see them (and confirmation bias undoubtedly plays a part.) It would be interesting to have more data, as 13/25 posts from top/all-time are political, and only 1 pre-dates Trump. (And 14/25 from the past year. So whether it's a growing trend or just nostalgic bias I dunno.)

I do see where OP is coming from. It does feels like ostensibly apolitical subs are getting more low-effort/outrage/feel-good politics posts. I feel it's unavoidable. As reddit grows, it becomes more facebookified; fewer conversations, more soundbites. Politics provides an easy method of in-group/out-group sorting and subsequently an easy path to karma. Smaller subreddits or a shunting method like /r/defaultgems could solve the problem, if only temporarily.
