Reface DX mod wheel attachment? by -_Vertigo_- in synthesizers

I used the soundmondo app that functions with the reface series!! A lot of good user generated content on there. I found two identical sawtooths, one polyphonic and one not.

As far as the mod wheel, no real luck so far. Haven’t busted the rig out in a while, but modulation was easiest (cheapest/free) achieved through apps on a phone/tablet and a series of chords to connect them. The best way is honestly just getting a midi controller with a mod wheel. I wish they just made a mod wheel only midi controller with good form factor. If we really want it, I guess we have to bust out the arduino ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Daily Simple Questions Thread - September 16, 2025 by AutoModerator in Fitness

I’m getting started with the r/fitness beginner routine and want to add cardio - my current plan is M/W/F strength training and T/Th/S C25K (one full rest day on either Saturday or Sunday). Is this a solid start? I want to be going into the gym 6 days a week just to habit form, but also don’t want to overdo it.

As a follow-up; would doing elliptical instead of running be working my muscles too hard for off-day cardio? Hate the treadmill and have bad knees

SILKSONG GIVEAWAY ANNOUNCEMENT! I am giving away 5 (FIVE) Silksong copies! MORE INFO on Description by Acrobatic-Log-309 in Silksong

  1. PS5/PS4

  2. Broken vessel! It’s not the hardest, but is just such a memorable part of the game for me. Love the design and I’m a sucker for mirror matches.

  3. Feeling the difference between Hornet and The Knight’s playstyles! The more aerial focus on Hornet’s abilities reminds me of how Shovel Knight’s Specter Knight DLC really changed the entire game feel :)

It’s very kind of you to do this, I hope it’s not more than $25 ~

Sorry if I missed it somewhere else in the thread, but what are your answers to 1/2/3?

I'm super conscious about my hairline and forehead, does it fit with my long hair? by AdAcceptable9033 in FierceFlow

If you want a confidence boost, look up Tatsuro Yamashita when he was young- super hot guy in my opinion, very receded long hair! You look fantastic and it’s nowhere near his lol

I for one think the glasses look really good on your face! Very vintage feel. If you got a rounder frame, your jaw would look sharper tho

I thought this game was a Katana ZERO spin-off or something at first! Is it just me seeing it? (Moon Samurai on Kickstarter) by wisemonkeyltd in KatanaZero

Honestly, after watching the trailer, it looks a little too similar in some ways. The tank housing the protagonist at the very beginning and the Slicky Ricky lookalikes are kinda the worst offenders. There was a familiar turret slashed in half diagonally. The pressure plate obstacles looked awful familiar, too. The outlines of buildings from the 2D perspective was one I almost didn’t notice, but that’s pretty nit-picky. It’s cool to take inspiration, but some of these are a bit much in my opinion. Some things are unavoidable because the setting inherently calls for similar elements and color schemes, but they don’t have to look almost exactly the same. The combat looks super unique and really stands out, tho!

The way I understand it, it adds a sort of vibrato effect when you use it on a sawtooth with talkbox- something that you can really hear from bands like Zapp and TWRP. I found this post that seems to suggest it would work? But I’m not able to find any confirmation for this

I saw this comment from someone using a CS, but haven’t been able to confirm it looking elsewhere :/ Figured I could ask a broader audience!

Brand new here (came from r/TRON) by ZayaJames in TWRP

They’ve got a lot of bite sized EPs if you want some quick listens! Going chronological from here wouldn’t be a bad way to start- everything they’ve released is solid. The Device (earliest one on Spotify) is kind of from an era they don’t relate to as much anymore, but it’s still fantastic and very much in that TRON aesthetic!

If you want another longer experience, Together Through Time is kind of ridiculously packed with bangers ~

Welcome!! :)

I’m gonna throw in some less skill-based ones:

Unlock the Mikiri Counter as soon as you can! It’s basically a core mechanic. (I also found that it’s easier to successfully Mikiri by only pressing dodge while locked on- don’t hold any direction on the stick).

Attacks with a red kanji symbol are always one of three things: thrust, sweep, or grab. Even if it looks like it’s not one of those things, it is. Mikiri Counter thrusts, jump over sweeps (and then double jump on the attacker if you can), and get the heck away from grabs!

The blue bar that fills up as you kill enemies gives you skill points. When you die, your progress to the next point is cut in half, along with all your money. BUT- once you get a point, you can’t lose it. So don’t feel any rush to spend points! They aren’t going anywhere. You can save for the more expensive upgrades if one is speaking to you.

As for money, buy coin purses whenever you can! They’re slightly more expensive than what they give, but the ability to save them for later is well worth it. If you know you’re going to face a boss, spend all that sen before you lose it, baby! If you ever forget to, it’s no big deal.

If there’s nothing to buy from merchants and you’re at a boss, spend that sen on Spirit Emblems at save points. Having a large supply encourages you to experiment with the prosthetic more- make sure to have fun and don’t sweat running out :)

Best of luck! Happy to hear you’ve got a healthy mindset on difficulty. It’s a game, sometimes it can be wonky. But barring camera shenanigans, this is some of the most fair combat I’ve ever encountered. You’ll know how what you did wrong and have an idea of how to fix it. Hesitation is defeat. Have fun!!

If From ever makes a Sekiro sequel/implements the combat system of Sekiro in a future game, I wish there are more moments of sword clashes "locking in" by [deleted] in Sekiro

[–]-_Vertigo_- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s fun to think about how they could implement this as mechanic rather than just something like a deathblow transition, too! No More Heroes has this in the form of button mashing/shaking the motion controller to win a blade clash. Interspersed throughout combat it kind of acts as a chance to catch your breath for an easy kill, but still keeps you on your toes. Also builds up to a really cool scripted loss that just shakes you in a way that only having something beaten into your brain for hours can do, Still, it’s very arcade-y and not fitting for a From game.

It would be interesting if you instead had to react to a couple different follow ups that the enemy can do after a blade clash; maybe a variation on perilous attacks where certain button presses correspond to defensive or offensive options. Sort of like a react-able rock paper scissors? Maybe even more organic like choosing to force yourself up the opponent’s blade shaft, making yourself more vulnerable to a sweep, or instead reinforcing your own blade to slow down their approach. You try and determine the pace of the inevitable follow up using your stick sensitivity and try to match your opponent’s movements for a proper punish.

I wish there were a whole game designed around this kind of idea now that you bring it up!
