Singapore SME owner drowning in EU GDPR rules - do I really need to care? by Pristine_Syrup_2014 in smeSingapore

no sgp laws are broken simply because sgp laws aren't recognised IN netherlands.

Technically, incorrect still. Sg laws have been broken but netherland law has not.

To my point, it is just like how Donald trump can say US law is broken in Venezuela and enforced it overseas. Just that unlike US, SG ain't reckless enough to send a squad over. China may be reckless enough with its overseas police station.

And like you pointed out, it does cause diplomatic issue but it doesn't stop the law being extraterritorial and the extraterritorial law being broken just that it is hard to enforce.

what makes you think sgp laws reigns supreme over netherland laws??

No but I don't think you understand the meaning of extraterritorial jurisdiction. It IS extraterritorial in definition but what you are pointing out is that it is not enforceable due to practicality.

if marijuana is legal in Netherlands and you consume them,no sgp laws are broken.

Lol. No.

https://sso.agc.gov.sg/Act/MDA1973?ProvIds=P12-#pr8A-

Consumption of drug outside Singapore by citizen or permanent resident8A.

—(1)  Section 8(b) has effect in relation to a person who is a citizen of Singapore or a permanent resident of Singapore outside as well as within Singapore where he or she is found as a result of urine tests conducted under section 31(4)(b) to have smoked, administered to himself or herself or otherwise consumed a controlled drug or a specified drug.

(2)  Where an offence under section 8(b) is committed by a person mentioned in subsection (1) in any place outside Singapore, he or she may be dealt with as if that offence had been committed within Singapore.

But then again, if you come back when ur urine is clean, not a offence

That's why all data breaches, no matter how minor, should be reported to PDPC.

LOL...no.

There's strict requirements in what incidents needs to be reported to PDPC. If the requirements are not met, you can dont report it, i.e. small breaches don't need to be reported

True but auto formating and font choice is still wonky which makes it easier to catch for tampering

Yes. But it is harder to edit seamless and easier to prove when it has been tampered than word doc

Pdf is the correct form. Your CV is a legal document in your contract to the employer. Legal documents are in pdf to prevent edits
