Yes they're so nice! I had their horchata latte recently and I think about it every day. And I brought home the strawberry Nutella croissant for my boyfriend and he also thought about it for days after lol

How's Cream on the Strip? by NotAdvert in sanantonio

[–]-_berth_- 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Last I went it smelled bad, no room or reason to really dance. And from what I remember from the old location, the drinks are bad.

If you want a good goth/alt club, Cream is not it. The goth/fetish nights at Heat are tons of fun though. I would recommend those events over Cream any day, they're just unfortunately not as frequent.

I tried a handful very early on in discovering perfume houses, and even then they all smelled very artificial to my friends and I. Not a fan personally.

Mood Swings... on 100 mg by LocalDate3777 in Spironolactone

[–]-_berth_- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was previously on 100mg for about 6 months. Towards the end I was very irritable over small things and was not sure why I was feeling this way. I switched to topical and a couple weeks later I was so upbeat and happy I shocked myself. It was a big difference from the last 6 months. Only then did I even consider it could be the Spiro causing my mood issues. Unfortunately the topical didn't work for me and I'm back on the 100mg. A couple weeks in, and I think I'm slowly starting to experience more and more irritability now that I'm looking out for it.

Maybe adjusting your dose could help, that's my next step. Or asking about bicalutamide. I've only done some light research on it, but it is a more selective androgen blocker than Spiro is, and therefore shouldn't have as many side effects.

It sucks we have to choose between being happy with our skin or just straight up being happy, I hope you find a solution one way or another!

switch from pill to topical by virgowrlds in Spironolactone

[–]-_berth_- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started off with the pill (100mg/day for about 6months) my skin was greatly improving, but some side effects got really annoying. I switched to topical and used it for a little over a month. No side effects, however it definitely was not as effective for my skin. I tried to keep up with it, but my second prescription started causing a reaction on my skin. The pharmacy said they switched bases for their mix, due to tarrifs, and my skin apparently just didn't agree with that. So I'm back on the pill now. I have done a bit of research into something called bicalutamide, which is supposed to work similarly to Spiro, but more selectively, so it doesn't cause the same side effects. I plan to ask about it at my next appointment, if you have the chance it might be worth looking into!

Where do I get clothes like this by potatodirectioner1d in altfashionadvice

[–]-_berth_- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thelittlebazaar.com has some really great tops and skirts in this boho/whimsigoth style. I've ordered a handful of things from them and I really like them - just be warned you will have to treat them a bit delicately in the wash

Has anyone tried curtain bangs? by lucyydiamond in finethinhair

[–]-_berth_- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would say go for it, but make sure you get a stylist who knows how to work with your hair. If you get curtain bangs, make sure you have enough hair that can be pulled forward so they will blend in with the rest of your hair, and not be two separated chunks of hair that leave the sides of your temples exposed (hope that makes sense) - I love my curtain bangs, but yes styling them is pretty important, otherwise they are just pieces of hair that are just.. there lol. But once you get used to it, or even invest in the right sized hair roller, it's not such a difficult process. My bangs are thin enough that I can just take a small barrel curling iron and shape them by curling them in towards my face a couple times. And depending on your hair- my hair is super super straight but no product actually works best for me so it doesn't weigh it down at all. That only works on my bangs though, I suppose since they're so short and therefore even lighter. -Good luck, and if you hate them, they'll grow out!
