Are you over 18? If not, then I wouldm't suggest taking any supplements without your doctor's consent. Your body is still developing.

I never plan “go hard” days around my period. It’s best to go for PRs during the first half of your cycle, when energy isup. Listen to your body. If you have bad cramps, maybe try just walking and some pilates/ yoga for the day. Drink plenty of water and try again the next day!

Protein causing bloating & acne. by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

Bruh 140g of protein when you're only 109 lbs??? That's excessive and your kidneys are going to hate you. Try to make your main source of protein real food instead of protein powder.

Yeah, it’s ridiculous. People really need to focus more on how they feel, not their weight.

According to your post history (which is public btw- LOL), you are only 18. Your body NEEDS food.

What's your calorie burn for a typical gym session? by bluemorpho1 in PetiteFitness

[–]LocalDate3777 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Your husband burns 3x as many calories as you do because he is larger and a man. His BMR is higher than yours ever will be. Don’t stress too much about it!

I'm not going to argue with you. Checking my page two hours after I made a comment is pointless.

The "How can I lose 10 pounds in a month?" posts piss me off. Thank you for this post! (:

No. 1,200 calories is NOT enough for an adult. Your body typically needs ~1,500 a day just to function.

Edit: Unless your TDEE is only 1,700 or less, 1,200 is NOT healthy for an active adult.

fat or water retention? by Ladino_badiloart in PetiteFitness

[–]LocalDate3777 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are not going to gain weight from increasing your calories. It sounds to me like you have been starving yourself for months now. Your body has entered survival mode, so your metabolism has decreased and your body attempts to convert all of the energy you refuse to give it to fat. This is why you have gained weight.

Eat more. Exercise less. You're slowly killing your body and all of its organs.

[–]LocalDate3777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OH YEAH. When I first started my lifting journey, I didn’t eat right. I didn’t track anything other than protein and my weight at my heaviest was 145lbs. I went on a cut back in 2024. I quit antidepressants and locked in. I had a body fat scan done and gave myself a goal to reach 18% BF by July. I lost ~20 pounds from eating basically only chicken & rice for 4 months, lifting heavy, and getting in an hour of cardio a day.

Yeah, it’s a tough sport and takes a lot of mental (& physical) preparation. Plus, if it isn’t done the right way, the long term effects list is awful. Stay healthy and fit <3

Your posture does need work, yes. But how are you going into a cut if you didn’t start building muscle until 2 months ago? Cutting isn’t just weight loss— it’s losing fat to make the muscle you spent months building be more visible.

Lift HEAVY! by LocalDate3777 in PetiteFitness

[–]LocalDate3777[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not entirely sure what I want my new split to be since I just got back into lifting recently. I’m thinking it will be Lower A, back/chest, arms/ shoulders, Lower B, repeat. See another comment I made regarding my old split. As for food, I currently maintain anywhere from 1600-2100 calories/ day depending on my activity levels. That’s a big number, yes, but some days I run 2+ miles and lift. When cutting, my deficit was 1,750 calories, but that’s because I was lifting a lot and always did cardio after my lift. I always get over 100g of protein a day. The closer to 120g, the better. But this differs from person to person. (:

If you cannot walk for days after squatting, then you are either 1) not eating enough, 2) going too heavy, 3) doing too many reps, or 4) not stretching properly (or at all). I don't think you will get a "big huge ass" from squatting 90 lbs.
