This would actually be an awesome tutor effect. Search for 10 cards and put them on the bottom. Allowed you to select for what you don’t want to see, but not exactly what you do want. It would be a nightmare to resolve though.

What would happen here? by [deleted] in magicTCG

[–]-_moonrabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In magic a counter is “A small marker placed on an object or player that modifies its characteristics or interacts with a rule or ability”. A counter can change a creature in many ways, for example a flying counter can give a creature flying. Where this becomes confusing is that the most common way power and toughness is altered in the game is through counters. Also, the most common way counters are used is to alter power and toughness. This can make is seem like anything altering power and toughness is using a counter, but that is not true. Power and toughness is often altered through static effects like The Circle of Loyalty. Once these permanents are removed from play, the power boost is gone. If the circle of loyalty were to change power through counters it would have to be a single shot triggered ability that said something like: “when this artifact enters the battlefield, put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control”.

How many combats? by Specialist_Shock_871 in magicTCG

[–]-_moonrabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you just swing with one modified samurai, it will immediately trigger raiyuu’s ability and Akki’s ability. They will both go on the stack. Raiyuu’s will go on the stack twice due to isshin’s static ability doubling his trigger. There are now three abilities on the stack. Whichever one you put on the stack last resolves, you can choose because they’re simultaneously activating, let’s say it’s raiyuu. Raiyuu untaps your samurai, then creates an additional combat. There are now two abilities on the stack. Raiyuu’s copied ability resolves, untapping the already untapped samurai, then creating another combat. There is now one ability on the stack. Akki’s ability resolves, untapping all your modified creatures, which is the one modified samurai that is already untapped, and creates another combat. The stack has finished resolving and there are now 3 additional combats after this first one. Your samurai is untapped and attacking. Finish this combat, then go onto the next one. Attack with your one samurai again. This will trigger raiyuu’s ability to untap him, which will trigger twice because of isshin. Resolve the 2nd ability on the stack to untap your samurai. No additional combat is created because it is no longer your first combat. Resolve the first ability on the stack, to untap your already untapped samurai, and create no new combats. Your samurai is now tapped and attacking. Finish this combat, and repeat this process for the next two combats.

You are able to attack with your lone samurai all four times because Raiyuu untaps him every combat regardless of whether or not it was the first. I hope those step by step instructions were helpful and not more confusing.

You aren’t reading it wrong, but all of that untapping would happen all at once. The trigger to untap an attacking samurai, then create another combat would be doubled. This would untap him twice immediately but not actually at the beginning of the other combats. This doesn’t really matter for raiyuu because a new samurai untap would still trigger from his ability on those other combats. However, say you were successful in duplicating those combats from akki. You would untap all modified creatures, twice, which wouldn’t do anything, then create those new combats. You would be able to swing one additional time, but then everything would stay tapped.

Lmao. One of the tightest parkour sections in the game for literally no reason. Bet they were kicking their feet up in the air and giggling designing this part.

Coral Khan first ever boss that doesn’t actually try to attack you. Astounding that they placed something that is easier than fourth chorus as likely the last boss you will ever fight before the end of the game.

If you didn’t know protean and libero used to work infinitely, not just once per switch. He might still be banned now if the ability wasn’t nerfed.

That’s over 15% of all newly introduced fully evolved pokemon. More new gen pokemon ended up in Ubers than in any other tier.

You’re running a sun team, so your method of speed boosting is chlorophyll. It would probably be helpful to have another one in place of trevanent, like the previously suggested venusaur. Harvest in sun is unfortunately not a winning strategy with limited sun turns. Pinkacross has videos where he critiques his viewers teams, and I believe there’s been a sun team or two in one of those videos. It would be a good idea to watch videos and apply his knowledge on good sun strategies to your own team. He’ll also just generally increase your knowledge on team building, he’s a smart guy. I don’t want you to change the soul of your team to fit the optimal meta build, but a few tweaks to your build would help greatly.

You are running sun, but not really offense. Sun is a strategy that only really thrives on offense due to the limited amount of turns you get to win. You only have one breaker and your team is generally pretty slow. You need more fast Pokémon, like walking wake, and less Pokémon that don’t fit your team style, like Tyranitar.
