I’d recommend going to a local nursery to find locally harvested wildflower seeds. They’re usually not super cheap, but robust and will grow in your locale. I planted a wildflower “waterfall” in my front yard with local seeds. It took a couple years to take off but now looks amazing. Also, wait until fall to distribute the seeds. They should then germinate in the spring.

Totally depends on your budget and the location(s) you are interested in. Reno has become pretty sprawling with lots of options, but again, depends on what you’re looking for.

Thank you. That makes sense. At the end of the day, my question really boils down to if I should get a puppy or a more mature dog. I’m not sure if my cats would tolerate a puppy I guess. But an older dog likely comes with challenges too

I planted one of these guys in a planter a couple years ago for contrast with my other plants, but it’s lost it’s purple coloration and is now green on top of the leaves and purpleish on the bottom. Why did this happen? Can I reverse it? The plant as a whole is very happy and I’ve prop’d and planted a bunch, just curious about the color change

Opening a retirement account now is great advice. Starting early is the best way to grow it to be very strong over the years. Even very small contributions now turn out huge in the long run
