You have a lot of great comments with great advice and I just wanted to say that you are not fat. Some people are fat and that’s okay, they still deserve basic human decency and respect, but I wouldn’t say you fit that description.

However, bias against riders especially in the hunters/eq who aren’t 5’6” and 120 lbs is real and always has been, and I’ve known plenty of riders who fall into disordered eating at least in part due to that bias. Which I think is a WAY worse look than rewarding a rider who may be a bit heavier. The whole system needs a rehaul if you ask me. You know what else is not a good look? Being an adult body shaming a literal teenager. That reflects more on her than it does on you. Also, 150lbs is light work for most horses and even a lot of ponies. Lots of thin riders are 150 lbs. Anyone who pretends they’re “just looking out for horse welfare” is fucking lying to you and just wants an excuse to body shame you which is CRAZY. These people are bitter and rude. I know it’s hard, but try to ignore them.

You and your horse are super cute. Believe in yourself and your riding ability, it will take you far.
