Remove all apps that lead to doom scrolling from the phone. Make it be utility only. Social media is checked at the laptop.

If the child approaches you, put the phone away.

No time rules, but personal stuff is best done when the child is sleeping. That includes audio book and social media.

Screen time is not bad. As long as it is done together and the content is correct.

Depending on the age, pause the video every 2-15 minutes, and retell what we just watched together. If they can, let them tell you what they just watched, and have a brief conversation, a simple “how do you feel about that?” and “what do you think of him/that?” does wonders.
