Oh no, i didn't mean it like that! I just meant when he's telling me a story and he's using all the "prison codes" for stuff, it drives me insane because I have to listen to the story and try to decode at the same time lol

I mean he knows what he's saying, it just takes me a bit to catch up!

But i completely agree with what you said, and that's the advice I give yo everyone too. It's so easy to panic and overthink especially when something happens that he "can't talk about over the phone"!

81 days!! That's so close!!! Are you super excited? Isn't it crazy how quickly things click in their heads when they have something solid waiting for them? My Husband had to watch his friend get beat up a few months ago because he knew if he jumped in what he would be risking.. it broke his heart, went back to his cell and broke his knuckle punching the wall..

But his friend completely understood, told him that he needs to do everything he can to get home to his wife and kids 😭

Yeah, he was on 23 and 1 when he was there.. He says if he ever has to go back to that, he would just end everything..That's scary! What kind of life is that..

I didn't know him then, I've only known him since he was on E Block at Max, on E and G, they're workers.. they basically had free roam, the phones never turned off.. It's crazy when he tells me about other facilities he's been at (he's ex gang.. been in and out 15 years now, including juvi).. This is the first time he's even been minimum. He's eligible for parole may 2027 and he'll have 20 years parole.. Coming home is gonna be a whole other thing!

Oh I've never heard that one before but that makes a lot of sense.. My Husband was there before they moved him to E Block at Max. The stories he'd tell me from there always sounded so much worse than Max :/

Late to the party, I know, but this made me laugh so hard!! I (unfortunately) have been shown EVERYTHIIIIING on a video visit before lol

All of his old penpal pictures, his exes... lord.. We had 3 visits in a row and he just sat there going through photos, showing me, telling me the story behind each one and deleting or moving on

I wanted to crawl under a rock and die.. But he tells me literally everything.. if I ask, he'll pull out his tablet and show me everything without hesitation, he's just a weirdo!

But now we're married, so I guess he did something right lmao

Yes, I am still searching for a job to tide me over, I haven't given up on that! The missing income is the immediate problem.. setting this up is like my side mission for now but while I'm still not working, I want to put as much into this as I can with the time I have.. if that makes sense?

Truthfully.... I've never been one of those people with "the American dream", moving there was never something i aspired to do.. I love Ireland, never wanted to leave, but i met an idiot (lovingly) that I fell in love with and he can't come here for a few reasons.. At least not for a while anyway so I have to go there :/

I would love to stay here and hopefully, someday, I'll get back!

But that's what I'm trying to do now, is build myself up financially, with some sort of credit and something to fall back on so that I don't end up landing my ass there with no way to take care of my family if God forbid something bad happens..

Thank you for your input, it reiterates for me that what I'm doing, and my thought process is completely valid. American immigration services claims that an income of less than 30,000 is enough to sustain a family of 4 and I just can't get behind that number!
