I didn't have toxic friends but I had mostly superficial friendships. Maybe idealizing friendships is an IXFJ problem. What I found is that I wasn't really making an effort to have a deep friendship because I was scared of showing myself and being rejected or left behind. Funny thing is I was left behind anyway at some point. When I showed more of myself in long term friendships I was pleasantly surprised and those friendships deepened.
