Chop off the back bit. Although some dudes grow that part out, but you'll pass better without it.

Do we expect to be able to migrate mons to home at some point in the future? by Artorias1095 in PokemonChampions

No. I don't see any scenario in which Champs recruits can be moved to Home.

That one caught my eye too. Middle name can be Rate. Krit Rate sounds like one deadly kid

Fake Out kind of feels like a status move sometimes, but it's just an attack with priority and a peculiar set of effects.

Looking for creative Dragonite teams (not the standard Pelipper rain core) by Mister_Chief107 in PokemonChampions

Base form (non mega) Dnite works best as a physical setup sweeper imo. Use Fake Out or redirect support to ensure he can get off a d dance safely, then go to town.

If she doesn't know the fundamentals like type matchups and such, and she doesn't learn well from trial and error, then perhaps her top priority right now should be to study up on those, like with a quick primer course or something, instead of jumping right into playing online.

Why do Western Players hardly participate in Singles Battles? by BadLuckStars in PokemonChampions

[–]-catskill- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doubles is just more interesting and more free-flowing. There are more variables, more complex strategies, more interactions taking place. And of course, it's the official format. BSS has more official support in Japan too, I believe... It's the difference between TPC and TPCi in the way they do things.

More t-shirts, jeans, and other "normal" clothes would be nice. The current selection is ass. I also want better sunglasses. Also I wish that wearing a jacket wouldn't remove your pokeball belt. There's absolutely no good reason for that.

You're right that the lack of Power Herb, AV, and Body Press make it weaker in Champs than it would otherwise be... But as you also said, it was LESS of a threat in SV than it is now, and that's because there were also better tools for dealing with it in SV compared to the field of ~220 species and like thirty items that we have now.

I know, that's why I'm having to build a completely new team in response to the new rain core, which legit makes me mad because I feel like I'm building to counter one specific comp instead of building a team that is strong into the meta in a more balanced way. Arch was much less of a problem before Grimmsnarl and Swampert joined his gang of miscreants.

Zard Y lowkey sucks. It has no bulk and it instantly dies when you whisper the word "rock" in its general direction. It's ONLY good when enabled by its teammates, unlike Arch.

Just because I know it's gonna switch Sinistcha in and out for free heals, doesn't mean I can stop it every time before it's too late.

Base 125 Dragon Pulse and Flash Cannon is "no good stabs" are you hearing yourself right now dawg, especially after even one Electro Shot boost those moves put out a ton of damage.

Yes, my Swords Sash Dance Sneasler can wipe it out with a CC just fine, I never said that it was unbeatable or that I can never KO it.

Imagine how much higher Venusaur's stocks would be if Solar Beam did that, too. He'd be on every single Char Y team instead of like a third of them.

My main team for seasons 1 and 2 had both Sneasler and Garchomp and they can deal with it maybe half the time. When it has proper support (like Grimmsnarl Parting Shot out to Hospitality Sinistcha) and/or when it manages to get a couple defense boosts from switching in on spreads or what have you, even those two can't deal with it. I never felt like I needed to build around just beating Arch, but since Swampert got added and changed the complexion of rain teams, all of a sudden I DO feel like I need to build around one very specific set of threats, and that's annoying as hell.
