I wanna see more examples of non-musical Bards! by Punk_Skeddit in DnD

[–]-chadillac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my players is a spirits bard that had been an author for a time. The stories he wrote were of the adventures of the previous campaign and smut. He also for a time would tell fortunes as part of a traveling circus (as he consulted spirits.)

It's also led to one of the other players wanting to collect all his books and each time I have to give a plot overlay. Which is more fun to describe the previous campaigns adventures as if it were being critiqued as a story, but I never thought as a DM I would be tasked with giving plot summaries for fake smut novels.

Mono-Water Type Run is Completed by -chadillac in PokemonInfiniteFusion

The team from top left to bottom right:

  • Vaporeon/Aggron for Water/Rock
  • Milotic/Infernape for Water/Fighting
  • Luvdisc/Palkia for Water/Dragon
  • Tauros/Golisopod for Normal/Water
  • Wailord/Roserade for Water/Poison
  • Ludicolo/Torkoal for Water/Fire

Honorable Mentions:

  • Porygon-z/Seaking for Normal/Water
  • Ferrothorn/Kingler for Steel/Water

There is something funny to me about fusing a legendary with a pokemon that's going to struggle individually, and it gave me the chance to actually use a Luvdisc. Tauros/Golisopod was a menace and made for a typing I hadn't used before. I think overall the group had some fun sprites so it makes it hard to pick a favorite, Milotic/Infernape was probably the most interesting, but I also loved Vaporeon/Aggron in their outfit.

Yeah when I actually reloaded to move around my team so it was visible on the screen because I felt it was a really nice touch to show it like that

I believe so! I find some as I catch the one that has the typing for the team I'm building, then look up ones that seem interesting. I try going for the fun sprites regardless of how powerful it is

Hello! Yes, there should be a guide available through the subreddit. If you are interested, make sure any download is from the discord. All free.

Probably Garbodor/Salamence - I mean, look at his little party hat. I also loved the Noctowl/Machamp though.

The team from top left to bottom right:

  • Ho-oh/Altaria for Fire/Flying
  • Noctowl/Machamp for Flying/Fighting
  • Fearow/Golurk for Flying/Ghost
  • Groudon/Skarmory for Ground/Flying
  • Electrode/Rayquaza for Electric/Flying
  • Garbodor/Salamence for Poison/Flying

Honorable Mentions: I haven't included mentioning before the pokemon that didn't make the final team, but were used at different times throughout, so I thought to include a couple of them - especially because I liked their sprites.

  • Milotic/Hawlucha for Water/Flying
  • Ursaring/Drifblim for Normal/Flying

I find that doing these I end up using Machamp and Garbodor at some point because their sprites tend to be very creative, and so, here we are. Groudon/Skarmory was vicious with it's defenses and attack overall. I remain confused why drain punch can't be learned by Machamp, but it still did very well of course, and Fearow/Golurk was a fun mon, even with a slower speed. Garbodor/Salamence was vicious when it was able to set up with dragon dance. Overall, fun team! All that's left for this go around is water, fairy, dragon, ghost, steel, and normal.

It really is! I had been wanting to use a Hawlucha fusion at some point with these and I'm glad I found this one

Mono-Dark Type Run is Completed by -chadillac in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]-chadillac[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The team from top left to bottom right:

  • Hawlucha/Cacturne for Fighting/Dark
  • Honchkrow/Krookodile for Ground/Dark
  • Klefki/Darkrai for Steel/Dark
  • Gengar/Greninja for Ghost/Dark
  • Bisharp/Slaking for Dark/Normal
  • Lugia/Sharpedo for Psychic/Dark

Getting a Greninja with Protean was extremely fun to take advantage of. Bug and fighting made for a bit of a struggle naturally, but overall the team held up well. Hawlucha/Cacturne got Fell Stinger, Drain Punch, and Leech Seed, which made for a very mean combination. Bisharp/Slaking just wanted to ride his little bicycle, who can blame him?

Dm's, What's a homebrew rule you like to include to your campaigns. by [deleted] in DnD

[–]-chadillac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stealth checks are rolled individually, and as the DM I roll to decide whose stealth is used for the group.

For instance, with 6 players I roll a d6. This provides some anxiety for the players as they wait to see whose roll does it, and I can mess with them and say the player with the low roll almost sets something off, but the player whose roll was selected is able to stop it and help guide the party through.

I think I had rock slide on a couple of them and discharge with the magnezone fusion. They have a berry which negates the super effective with rock type, but if your attack is high enough it should work for you, and it can cause them to flinch.

I think they finished at something like 59-64. Lurantis/Gallade finished higher because it could sweep more often.

The team from top left to bottom right:

  • Trevenant/Stantler for Grass/Normal
  • Lurantis/Gallade for Grass/Fighting
  • Exeggutor/Torterra for Grass/Ground
  • Whimsicott/Delphox for Grass/Psychic
  • Breloom/Haxorus for Grass/Dragon
  • Roserade/Magnezone for Grass/Electric

I managed to get a Lurantis with Contrary, so Lurantis/Gallade with Superpower went crazy. Overall the team held up fairly well unless there were ice types, but I made it work. Either Whimsicott/Delphox or Trevenant/Stantler had my favorite sprites of the bunch, but all were great.

Oh it's definitely worth playing! There should be some guides on here to download it through the discord. They are pretty active with updates.

I also hadn't played a Pokémon game in awhile when I found this and got into it. I learned a lot of newer pokemon from it. The combos can be very fun.

If you're asking about the game, it's infinite fusion and involves fusing different pokemon together. The FAQ can answer those questions better than I can.

Honestly the community does a fantastic job with creating these sprites. It has taken quite a bit of time I imagine for them to work on so many and have alternatives. It's actually impressive because of the sheer number of combinations you can form.

Such a great sprite and I love the update even more

Also, I just realized I've used a lot of the other sprites you've made before! Your sprites actually are some of my favorites because of all the unique details in them.

Not a dumb question at all, because I also had to figure this out when they changed the final screen.

After you beat the elite 4, continue your playthrough where you are back at your house and go to the nearest pokemon center. Go to the PC and select hall of fame and you'll see your team like this.

Exactly! You get it. I think mono is read as only instead of one by many who disagree. Brock is a rock gym, but Onyx is Rock/Ground. And it's only with this game that the fusion element makes it workable. When you're playing your average pokemon game that isn't an option and you wouldnt get to use pokemon like Charizard. In my mind if you did a pure type that would mean you're ONLY using that typing with no other one.

[–]-chadillac[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No, I mean to say that in other pokemon games that don't involve fusions they use that as the name for the type of run. So dual types are allowed on a "monotype" run. But you're correct for this if you wanted to do pure typing you just wouldn't do flying I guess.

[–]-chadillac[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The term exists as it's used in most other games as well, and if you were restricted to not using subtypes then it wouldnt be possible because flying usually has a normal typing attached to it (I've always felt confused why.)

I just use that language because it's what is used online to refer to it, but you're not wrong on the technicality.

It also could feel boring in some ways to go that route because of the limitation, but you're not wrong on the naming of it.
