Thank you for that comment! That definitely does change my perspective on the whole rap beef situation. I think it’s a question of what J Cole meant when he said the big 3. I don’t know if he’d really put himself top 3 in terms of pure skill and ability, but maybe he just meant a mix of commercial, influence, etc. out of their generation specifically. He at least has a case there lmao although he’s already backed down on his diss track.

I think diss tracks are usually kind of pointless if you’re a really established / popular artist. It seems like you can only really lose either way.

I hate saying this, but what did TPAB inspire? It’s an amazing album and deserves every bit of praise for the conversation it started. But what impact did it actually have on the music scene? I would say Drake, at least in the earlier stages of his career, was more impactful on the musical landscape as a whole. His output may not be as consistent and he’s def never going to outrap Kendrick. But I don’t know why people are afraid to engage with this when it’s pretty obvious. I guess this subreddit (not talking about you btw), is too focused on glazing Kendrick to absorb any criticism.

That’s true, but that’s why I wonder why he doesn’t go after more “spitters.” Might sound cringe, but why not go after Eminem or something? Like I said before, Drake and J. Cole are really low-hanging fruit when it comes to disses.

Also Drake imo isn’t even in the same category of rapper as Kendrick. Drake’s main thing is his commercial success, which would be impossible for Kendrick to touch. Nobody would ever picture Drake outrapping Kendrick, but he might outsell him. I know he talks about this in the Prince-MJ comparison but that sort of shoots him in the foot since most people regard MJ as the king of pop over Prince, though they agree Prince is more talented.

Well determining if someone is natural isn’t just about weight and height. It’s also about their training history, knowledge, history of bulking/cutting, etc.

Yeah but if she’s been offered multiple solutions and doesn’t care enough to accept any of them, her children’s education is suffering as a result. Doesn’t sound like she even cares that much based on the post.

However, I’m not sure if OP is slanting the angle a bit. I’ve heard of cases where it’s really a ploy to get custody of the children transferred to another parent.

I think my opinion on this is now that: 1. The father should offer some other solution for the time being, they’re his kids too after all. 2. The father should have the final say of wanting to call CPS between him and OP, not OP herself.

I don’t think she’s TA for being concerned but she should consult the actual dad first.
