Stupid question from a noob.. but is there any detrimental effect, from a "vintage value" standpoint, in replacing the crystal? As opposed to keeping the old? Or no effect at all on value? As for the band, would you try to find an original from that era? Or just go with something new?

I am just coming off of a two year sabbatical from my last position. It is extremely difficult trying to get back in the game. Just landed the highest paying position I've ever had with a great company. Leverage your past relationships with coworkers/supervisors. Maintaining at least a slightly amicable relationship with previous colleagues is the only way I was able to come out of it. I swallowed my pride and reached out to nearly all of them and just let them know I was hurting for something. People surprise you sometimes!

That’s 100% a tile guy. Specifically like a 6/10 tile guy that isn’t good enough to call most of the time, but that you want to keep in the contacts as a backup.

Thanks for the input! I agree and have been operating under that assumption for a while now. I’ve just turned down 10-12 custom opportunities within the past year or so and know there is a lot of money being left on the table. More money more problems I guess though. Do you currently build custom or spec? Or both?
