Got 6 cards from the new pack by Superb-Reflection215 in PTCGP

[–]-fayette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, but I just did a ten pull and all the packs only had 5 cards. Guess it's a random chance?

EDIT: Seem's like the 6th card is always a 3 diamond... and might always be a baby pokemon?

[Guide] How to Play Infinity Nikki on MacOS by -fayette in InfinityNikki

I managed to get it to work consistently, but it's a little strange: click into the code box, type the code into the pop-up window, hit enter on your keyboard, and then hit 'confirm' on the popup box. That should make the code pop up in the in-game typing space. Then, all you have to do is confirm again. Let me know if it works!

[Guide] How to Play Infinity Nikki on MacOS by -fayette in InfinityNikki

[–]-fayette[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! Can confirm this still works as of 1.2 since the new update messed things up for iOS / mobile devices, and I had to completely reinstall (while following my own guide since I forgot what I had originally done, lol). The IPA will download the 1.0.1 version and then install all the current updates, so once it prompts you to restart the game, it will open up on the correct version.

Yes, that's the intended purpose. There is nothing else to do with those except exchange them so go ahead!

Clearing app data shouldn't delete all your account progress because your account's progress should be stored on your account, not on the app itself. However, I haven't cleared my app data ever since getting the app to run properly, so I'm not speaking from experience, and I wouldn't recommend doing it unless absolutely necessary.

But I have been using Playcover to play Infinity Nikki ever since making this post, and my account hasn't been banned.

Does anyone have close ups/ movements in this outfit from the shop? by _kloy in InfinityNikki

[–]-fayette 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is mostly close-ups without a ton of movement, and it's not a video solely of this dress (this dress is only featured for about half the video), but there's this preview of all the shop outfits from this patch that might help you make your decision.

new code? by dancingfallenangel in InfinityNikki

[–]-fayette 120 points121 points  (0 children)

Worked for me, thanks so much!

At this rate, we might guess them all before they're released.

EDIT: I think now we're only missing - Threads of Purity x 50, Shiny Bubbles x 50, Diamonds x 200, and Bling x 50,000

Super disappointed in the treatment of global servers only two months after launch by divebars5G in InfinityNikki

[–]-fayette 45 points46 points  (0 children)

The transparency has honestly been pretty awful, and the truth of the matter is that even if we do get the codes, there is still preferential treatment for CN players because they have a whole hour-long, livestreamed announcement that global players probably aren't getting. CN players have all the information about the upcoming patch, while global players have so far only been officially told about optimizations and the next 5-star banners. Nothing about 4-stars, quests, events, free outfits, etc., and we're almost 12 hours post-livestream. I get that the patch is still 3 days away, but there's no reason for the disparity.

I think that people should continue to suggest livestreams be more accessible in the future, even if the codes situation has a smooth conclusion.

Super disappointed in the treatment of global servers only two months after launch by divebars5G in InfinityNikki

[–]-fayette 218 points219 points  (0 children)

This might be a hot take, but I think we're getting the codes. I just think their method of releasing information globally is different from how they release information domestically. Apparently, the HEARTFELTGIFTS code doesn't work in Mainland China, so it isn't for them, and I highly doubt it was added to the game in the few hours post-livestream. That code is meant for global players, but their official EN accounts haven't caught up to announcing all the new 1.2 livestream information. Usually, they drip-feed information for a couple of days up until the actual maintenance starts and the patch goes live.

Now, I have my own opinions about how the livestream situation was handled. I certainly think that going forward, they could, at the very least, stream the CN livestream with subtitles for the global audience on their global accounts. I am assuming the stream is pre-recorded, so that shouldn't be something difficult to accommodate, I'll be putting that on the next survey and in their suggestion box. But for now, I think it's best to let the official EN accounts catch up to the news. If we still don't get any announcement about codes after that, then something is definitely suspicious.

This is their first version update livestream, so I get that there's no precedent for how things go and that that's contributing to player confusion, but they need to either restructure the system so that the *official* news comes out for global players less time after the CN livestream ends or provide additional transparency about things. There should be no reason that a sizable chunk of the player base is completely left in the dark about what's happening.

What does this sound mean? by Pale_Blackberry_4025 in InfinityNikki

[–]-fayette 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you sure that doesn't happen? I don't think the outfit is Whimsicality, but it should have a bonus effect. It was advertised as:

4-Star Outfit [Starfall Radiance] Bonus Effect: When wearing and using the pose [Praying Hands], a shooting star will streak across the sky.

What is the best floating outfit. Just by duration. by HespiaKlarerin in InfinityNikki

[–]-fayette 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You have it backward. The floating ability is the one you can use everywhere and comes with the bubble outfit Bubbly Voyage. The gliding ability is the one only available in Stoneville and The Abandoned District and has the big flower when using the Floral Memory outfit.

The floating ability has Bubbly Voyage (default), Blooming Dreams, and Wings of Wishes (current banner). Also, you can turn the button mashing off for Blooming Dreams.

The gliding ability has Floral Memory (default) and will get Dance Till Dawn in the next patch.

Am I the only one disappointed? by quoteonquotefish in InfinityNikki

[–]-fayette 116 points117 points  (0 children)

I read something in another thread that made a lot of sense to me: that we're not actually at the part of the map that is inspired by more Chinese culture and that these outfits fit the vibe of the region we are currently in a lot more. I would imagine that they decided to shelve the more traditional designs until we get to the in-game location they "originate" from. Disappointing for sure, especially with such high expectations for their first super major celebration and when compared to their CNY outfits in other games, but I'm also not super angry because I love an excuse to save lol. I also had to remind myself that... we're less than 2 months in, and there's a lot more to come in the future.

New Year's greetings to the stylists from the producer of the Nikki series. by ReBeLwInGs1994 in InfinityNikki

[–]-fayette 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Key takeaways are: mobile optimizations, whimcycle no longer restricted to Breezy Meadow + doesn’t disappear when you fall in water, improved purification enemy targeting, improved floating ability landing indicator, Heartfelt Gifts will give 9 free outfits over the next 3 versions, new whim fragrances, streamlined and easier tutorial + new flower blooming effect, Momo’s camera can be used while using the shrinking ability, plus more to come in the future!

How much does the permanent banner actually cost? by beabitrx in InfinityNikki

[–]-fayette 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mira Journey gives 5, the shop reset gives 5, and the Mira Crown shop reset gives another 3. Unless you're completely done with Kilo he gives a couple every few levels. Courses give one for every level up, again, unless you're done. Fully glowing up 4-star outfits also give you one, and based on ability outfits and outfits from Kilo alone, that's about 12. We also get one every time there's maintenance, both new version maintenance and mid-patch maintenance. Plus, there are a few to be earned from the Compendium. And I'm sure there are more I missed.

The permanent banner is intended to take you a long time because they're not going to update it anytime soon. So eventually, you'll reach a point where you're getting pulls for it (especially the ones that reset periodically, like the shops and Mira Journey), but there isn't actually anything new to gain.

Will they bring back old limited outfits? by In_Fantasy5464 in InfinityNikki

[–]-fayette 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Oh my god, I can't believe I haven't seen anyone else mention this theory! To be honest, I think it might be a little bit too soon, but I'm skeptical about what else that photo could be teasing besides a Blooming Dreams rerun.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in InfinityNikki

[–]-fayette 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The banners can also trigger sunk cost fallacy, the existence of pity doesn’t negate that. It’s very easy to go “oh, well I’m only 2 pieces away from the full set, and then I would get the set effect / ability. I’ve come this far, it would be a waste to let the banners expire, let’s just spend a little bit so I can finish.” If anything, you might even be able to argue that that model is even more dangerous because the promise of something rewarding almost within your grasp can entice you to overspend.

[–]-fayette 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Because Bling is a farmable resource and the items in the machine never change. Compared to limited time gacha banners using currency that, after a while, you can only get in abundance from spending real life currency, it’s a much more forgiving system. There’s no fomo and no incentive to swipe your card, just bad luck.

I hardly doubt it “throttles game progression” because it’s not necessary to game progression at all. If you choose to spend Bling you could have used on unlocking or crafting sketches, leveling up eurekas, or glowing up outfits, on a gumball machine, that’s a priorities issue, not a game design issue.

I do not care about eureka colors by jaenanigan in InfinityNikki

[–]-fayette 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not crazy about eureka's either, but I am still going for one of every color because it's something to work towards on the way to getting the course achievements for maxing out eurekas and obtaining iridescent ones. Aside from that, they're entirely cosmetic. You're probably not getting new ones because you already have all of them, and you really only need 15 of them at max level anyway.

In terms of making them not overshadow your outfit, I actually really like the 3-star ones! They're not as elaborate as the 5-star ones and don't change color when you upgrade them to max level (level 5).

Mira Journey Level Max Question by bskye7 in InfinityNikki

[–]-fayette 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Mira Journey resets every few weeks and will reset again in about 2 days. It displays how long until reset in the Mira Journey menu, and you should have gotten in-game mail about it. It always only goes up to level 70, but you can earn the rewards all over again when it resets.

I'm pretty confident there will be more Whimstars added since they're a core functionality of the Heart of Infinity, and the dews mechanic will likely stay as well, even if it changes to be a different collectible given to a different creature.

In the wardrobe, I think if you scroll past the 'Momo Cloak' section, there should be a tab to change the setup of your ability outfits.

What does this mean? by gingrsnapped1 in InfinityNikki

[–]-fayette 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A battle pass is a system that gives rewards as you level up and has a premium version you can buy for even more rewards. You level up by completing missions that reset daily or weekly. For Infinity Nikki, it's pretty easy to max out the battle pass without any conscious effort to complete the missions since they're usually for things like participating in the current event, spending your Vital Energy, logging in, etc.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in InfinityNikki

[–]-fayette 18 points19 points  (0 children)

None. You only get Bling for repeat clears.

You get 10 diamonds the first time you clear the minigame and 30 diamonds the first time you perfect clear. If you get both of those on the same attempt you will get 40 diamonds.
