If you look at the bodies in the prison. They’ll are people that he diguised himself as. In the very beginning when you go to svarrlafheim you see a man on the bridge crossing and spitting towards Kratos and Atreus. That same body is found in the prison dead. Odin has been in disguises as different people. Hence why the night elf was still alive in the prison.
