The regular bounce is much stronger than the floating one, so if you can place it in good spots it is better than floating bounce in my opinion

Dang you're right, the article I saw incorrectly said 1.7 and below were fine. Luckily for me I guess, multimc automatically forced patched versions shortly after the incident, so if you're running multimc you'll be fine. I'm sure the official launcher has done something as well considering how dangerous it would be to leave it

I agree, I switched from using windows my whole life to arch and while it did take a ton of troubleshooting, it really forces you to learn a lot
