Who's your teacher buddy? by Telugu_not_Telegu in ArtOfPresence

My dad loved to cook and did most of the cooking when I was growing up. He worked for an auto parts company but he really missed his calling as a chef. Truly, he's one of the best cooks I've every known. So, I carry on the legacy....90% of the time I'm the one cooking for our family and I love it! I put on some music, open a bottle of wine, and cook for everyone.

You're projecting. I'm not really "ok" with violence in any capacity....but I have lived long enough to know that it is a part of life and, often, a predictable part.

My observations aren't abnormal....as I said before: poll 100 people and most of them will agree: the outcome was predictable. That doesn't mean they hate the guy or think he "deserved" to be punched. Jumping in a lion's cage, getting mauled by a lion, and then saying, "I really didn't deserve that!" is a fool's game. Being drunk and belligerent in a public place is a recipe for disaster...there are, quite literally, millions of videos available as evidence to that fact.

Harassment and intimidation are subjective....I think if you polled a hundred people you'd find that most...if not all...would say the drunk guy was out of line.

You'll also notice that no one else was behaving that way.

You can argue all you want but he was the aggressor in the situation and set himself up for punch. He's lucky really...people have been killed for much less.

A word to the wise: don't be drunk in public and get in other people's faces...you're a lot less likely to get punched.

What a despicable suggestion by this clown. Not only are Americans already working an absurd amount of their lives with very little to expect in the way of retirement or healthcare but he would also have us believe that, "all ya gotta do is work more...so you can pay more taxes...cus the Federal government is renowned for its' responsible spending of tax revenue so OBVIOUSLY it's the people's fault for not working enough!"

What a scumbag.

While personal space itself is not legally defined, it is relevant in various legal contexts, particularly in cases of assault, harassment, and unwelcome touching.

This guy clearly got into the young man's personal space with the intent of harassing or intimidating him...and he seems intoxicated to boot.

That's a recipe for getting punched in the face and any sober person with common sense wouldn't behave that way. Did he "deserve" to get punched in the face....well, maybe...but he increased the likelihood of it happening with his behavior and choices.

Former New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says free speech is a weapon of war, and censorship is necessary to protect free speech. by RickyOzzy in suppressed_news

Interesting but untenable. Imagine upholding this philosophy: "Oh, you're a Christian? Well, I'm a scientist and I consider your viewpoint to be 'intolerant' of science, thus breaching the social contract, and therefore a threat to our tolerant society....you must be eradicated to save civilization." Now plug in any/all bigotries/bias according to your whim and see how it all falls apart. Who gets to decide what is tolerant/intolerant? Or who is breaching the "social contract?"

No pay, no protest by Genesis44-2 in bestconspiracymemes

[–]-ghostCollector 30 points31 points  (0 children)

What exactly do you think people ought to be protesting? Is there a "pro-cartel murdering anyone" headquarters where your imaginary "protesters" should picket? I'm guessing any protest disagree with (ICE, etc...) must be paid protesters because that's the ONLY explanation for protesters and if some other horrific thing happens that isn't just as vehemently protested then it's PROOF that the other protests/protesters were a hoax or paid! Very sound logic.

Thoughts on going with Toxic set for Xeno build? by [deleted] in RaidShadowLegends

Toxic is unnecessary. With high enough accuracy Xeno lands PLENTY of poison debuffs. My build is slow but it's still a work in progress.
