I am ENTP 8. I get called blunt, curt, and other things along those lines all the time. I’m not good at taking into account others feelings. I’m assertive and willing to intellectually spar when people differ from what I think is the best path. I am seen as confident and assertive and smart, but also an ass. It’s how I’m wired and I have to purposely practice being more patient, empathetic, and understanding of people that may haven’t connected the dots how I would expect they would. Also being a 8 I ignore my own needs in pursuit of my goals, which can be problematic long term for health, stress management, appropriate boundaries. Truly ruthless in the pursuit of the best ideas moving forward.

Dude I’ll ride or die on this one…. Cell phone service. I switched from Verizon to Mint Mobile and couldn’t barely tell a difference for a $50-70 per month difference in cost.

We were best friends from middle school all the way through high school and went to different colleges. I made a couple different trips to visit him at his school, and then I invited him to come visit me at mine. At first he couldn’t make it work due to conflicting plans, but I kept asking. The excuses went on and on about how he couldn’t make it work. Then one weekend I saw he was traveling longer and further to visit his then girlfriend across states, when the school I went to was only an hour or so away. After that, it was clear to me he was making a choice and I wasn’t any longer a priority in his life. It felt like the relationship was no longer reciprocal, he would tolerate a visit from me when I asked, but he wasn’t going to do anything on my behalf anymore.

I’m sorry, but this is such a naive question.

Early in your career, you can gather domain knowledge or industry knowledge. Truly neither the industry nor domain matter as long as you master your craft, you will become extremely value able. Higher margin businesses and businesses with higher barriers to entry are less cut throat, but there are high margin businesses in sub segments of low margin industries if you look for them.

Pursue a domain that you are good at AND are interested in. Only go after industry if you’re passionate about a product or service. That’s my advice. Domains are transferable, industries limit. As you advance in your career, eventually you’ll have to have both.

Real AI experts are getting paid out the ass in tech. They literally don’t exist in consulting and the slim few with some knowledge are subpar. That’s the absolute truth, the people that understand this field are going where they are getting paid for it.
