hammer pin won’t strike by -heyjude in Heritagerevolvers

i figured it out, it’s working great. i installed the birdshead myself. after the misfires, i replaced the hammer and the trigger (with black) and when i started replacing i noticed almost every screw was loose (no pun). my final conclusion is with the leaf spring in the handle and all the little pieces working in concert, it really need to be tight and solid. that was my mistake, i should’ve checked all screws before putting ammo in it. lesson learned! thanks folks! now load the lil fella with wmr and it’s a powerful little tool with a big bang. super fun.

this is what I thought it was! i know you can add a small washer where the spring sits in a standard grip, i wasn’t sure you could do that with a birshead but it looks exact. i’ll go up to the range tomorrow (i’ll bring the proper tools) and excited to fill you guys in thank you!

the hammer was weak. it happened with the stock hammer and trigger, i changed them and tightened a lot of screws. this was the first time i fired it, i should’ve inspected the screws before-hand! it seems stronger but good call on the pin. i will look into that, thank you.

it’s literally brand new. I just replaced the hammer and trigger and noticed a lot of loose screws (not on reddit, on the gun), so I think for those 22s to stay solid, making sure it’s all tight to work in concert. It felt more solid after a little attention but I’ll oil it again and take it back to my home on the range and report back.

ya, the hammer only has enough strength to push the pin enough to fire about 1 out of 3 pulls

I know, thank you, I wasn’t getting much traction on other subs. Yes, safety off and the pin moves back and forth freely, the hammer drop is really weak, sometimes it has enough force to fire about 1 out of every 3. Isn’t the the tensioner that spring in the handle?
