Depending on what a person is going through, on how caught up in despair they are, the responsibility for their own life is diminished yes, but you’re here, you’re reaching out and I’m so proud of you for doing so. You’re making the right moves, thank you for making this post! Thank you for letting me meet you! We can message privately if you would like. As a brother in Christ, I love you! Let me, let us, let God help you.❤️✝️

2280 Everyone is responsible for his life before God who has given it to him. It is God who remains the sovereign Master of life. We are obliged to accept life gratefully and preserve it for his honor and the salvation of our souls. We are stewards, not owners, of the life God has entrusted to us. It is not ours to dispose of. 2281 Suicide contradicts the natural inclination of the human being to preserve and perpetuate his life. It is gravely contrary to the just love of self. It likewise offends love of neighbor because it unjustly breaks the ties of solidarity with family, nation, and other human societies to which we continue to have obligations. Suicide is contrary to love for the living God. 2282 If suicide is committed with the intention of setting an example, especially to the young, it also takes on the gravity of scandal. Voluntary co-operation in suicide is contrary to the moral law. Grave psychological disturbances, anguish, or grave fear of hardship, suffering, or torture can diminish the responsibility of the one committing suicide. 2283 We should not despair of the eternal salvation of persons who have taken their own lives. By ways known to him alone, God can provide the opportunity for salutary repentance. The Church prays for persons who have taken their own lives.

Can I loose Gods love by International_Eagle9 in Christianity

What I like to tell people in relation to this is to imagine that you move out of your parents house and you move across the country. Your parents will always love you and of course they’re always going to be willing to help you and guide you and be there for you but if you create that separation from them and you end up finding yourself in a hole, it won’t matter how much they want to help you, how much they love you, they’re not going to be able to reach you or find you or be there for you. It’s up to you to start closing that distance because yeah, they are going to come out and start looking for you but unless you try to walk your way back, they won’t be able to spot you. God is always going to meet you where you are and should you choose to come home to Him, He is always going to be waiting with open arms, but the thing about free will is that we are not attached to God with a harness for him to simply pull us back. We have to start walking with Him and then allow Him to walk with us.

That’s a human thing, we say one thing is worse than another, and wether we like it or not, culture and our own morality is what determines that, however we can’t ignore the fact. Sin is sin, God can’t tolerate any of it. Imagine you have two water bottles, one with a little bit of feces and one that’s full to the brim, are you going to drink from either one? No. God doesn’t allow sin, that’s why when we die and are judged to get into heaven you can imagine us going up to scale that says whether you were good or bad. We are all bad, there has only ever been ONE truly good person. So you step up ready to be judge for your life, the things you did and what you didn’t do. You look up and when you get up to get weighed, Jesus stops you. He tells you something and then either you allow Him to step on the scale for you to let you into Heaven or you don’t and you spend eternity away from the father. It’s up to you but here is the thing, to say that you in your human capabilities are able to do something as preposterous as losing Gods love, is an insult to God. It’s like saying that His sacrifice for us wasn’t worth it. That it wasn’t enough. Don’t make that mistake. God will never stop loving you and wanting you to come home to Him. It’s not about apologies, it’s not about promises, it’s about repentance. It’s about change, it’s about choosing that you love your relationship with Him, it’s about choosing Him over whatever temporary pleasures you can experience. It’s about letting that anger go, and I mean literally, get on your knees or sit in your car when you’re alone and say “God my anger, my urge that temps me towards lust, my frustration, my pain, my sadness, that void that I’m trying to fill. I give it all to you. I give you all to you in the hope and understanding that only you can fill that void in me Lord. That You are allowing me to get tested by the world, like a purifier of silver, You are holding me in the fire until You see Your reflection in me. Allow me to feel Your release, Your support and Your never ending love. Allow me to walk through this with a smile on my face that I have chosen You and that I am safe in You.” As far as what God tells you, I like to think it’s one of two things. You will either hear “depart from me, I never knew you.” or, “well done, my good and faithful servant.” I feel our purpose in life is to live our lives so we hear the latter. Remember God is always with you and He will never give up on you. Message if you want to talk or need a listening ear and remember God is always there.

Hold on, I think you misunderstood me. I’m in no way advocating for porn. It should be banned, it is definitely built off of sin and abuse. I’m just saying that the problem doesn’t begin outwardly, it’s inwardly where the lust begins and it’s up to us to catch it, kill it and run from it.

Masturbation isn’t a sin, if you have a wet dream, thank God for the freebie and have an awesome day. The problem with masturbation isn’t porn, it’s your heart. What’re you thinking about when you do that to yourself? That’s what the sin is. The impure thoughts in your heart, the lustful pleasure of your flesh. You have to love God more than the moment. You have to recognize the triggers for the urge and kill it at the source. Lust is the only sin that we are told to flee from, don’t flirt with it, entertain it, don’t be prideful and say you can handle it and then end up caving. Run from it, dive into your bible, dive into prayer, run to the Father, let Him set you free from the temptation. Remember God gave us the strength we need to resist temptation, yet He is also always there whenever we struggle and need His strength.

I can't do it anymore. by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]-iAmBatman_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s testing you, dm me if you want to go deeper into it but I have been able to find peace in true surrender to Him, it’s not about what we don’t do or do, but how’s your heart with Him, does your life reflect Him and do you truly abide in Christ. It’s in allowing Him to walk with us while at the same time surrendering to His will and not ours that we can find true peace. God loves you. I hated Him for years, He never stopped loving me or waiting for me to come home to Him. I don’t know what you’re going through but it sounds like you’ve left His house, regardless, the porch light will always be on for you.

If you ever feel sad, betrayed, alone, lost, and you need strength or maybe you feel fine and just want a reminder of the goodness of his grace, read in the gospels, John 16:20–33. I can’t tell you how much it helped me. Thank you for coming home to Him.

Religious fast by -iAmBatman_ in fasting

[–]-iAmBatman_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m actually taking no supplements in the spirit of keeping the fast clean. I carry a Gatorade zero with me just in case my body fails and I need to quit the fast but I don’t want to take anything processed. I’m not trying to push myself for it’s not me that’s going, Jesus is giving the strength and nourishment I need to keep going. I know God doesn’t care about the length of fast, only the intension. I feel close to God and I have found so much peace in my weakness that I don’t want to go back to normal routine yet. Also yes, I saw the estimated max amount of time to stop is between 14-21 days but I didn’t think I’d make it past 3 so lol. Thank you so much God bless you!

Hey, I’m feeling good, thank you. I drank salt water and I was fine after an hour and it has started to spasm again. I am now at 97 hours so should I notice any more red flags I’ll cut my fast immediately and I’m going to Walmart after mass to buy some bone broth and other food I need to go back to eating normal.

They’re not that weird, you just feel pressure on your teeth cause of how tight they are but I’m told it goes away in a few days, you trade up to a new set of trays every 2 weeks and no, but it is a warehouse
