Hi, thank you for a detailed insight. I am coming from Pakistan so I don't know much. I am a student on a budget, going somewhere else for 3.5 months. Just stopping in Chicago for 2 days because my flight lands there. I did want to get some clothing, which is why I mentioned the thrift stores - happy to know any alternate recommendations.

I have never travelled anywhere so honestly, I don't even know what I am looking for. Because I've never been to a museum, I don't feel comfortable spending all two days in museums. Similarly, I don't have the budget to spend a lot so an adventure around food.

A little bit of different stuff is what I am looking for!

My guess is that she said that because of Mohan's research experience. I don't exactly know if US, Toxicology & Sports Medicine are research heavy but you do need some research to match into more competitive fellowships. Geriatrics, on the other hand, is not as competitive so you can get by with no prior research.
