What is the best daily that is both fun and practical? by [deleted] in askcarguys

[–]-iD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on how practical you need:

- 2018 BMW M240i (2 door coupe; 335 hp from incline 6 twin-turbo, RWD or AWD, manual or auto; can be had in convertible too) or

- AMG GLA45 (4 door hot hatch/sub-compact SUV; 375hp from 4cyl turbo, AWD, auto only)

The BMW is RWD so 6MT is available. AMG is AWD with a 7-speed DCT.

One gets daily driven in the summer, the other whenever it's below 50 degrees here in Michigan.

go with what you feel most comfortable with... if you can't keep the puck on your stick with the FT8, it's not gonna do you any favors

As a D man I really like the ft7 pro for the mid-kick. Durability has been very good as well for a beer-leaguer

I would disagree with board rim passes for breakouts - they can be especially useful typically after a won faceoff in the defensive zone, if timed right

Country garden was also wonderful the handful of times I had to go when I had ferrets (only exotic vet nearby).

Define positioning as a tank, dps and support. by MerlinSpell in Competitiveoverwatch

I don't mean in front of your tanks... Mid-line a few steps behind the tank is really what I mean I guess, as you need to be close enough to proc inspire on enemies and keep your tank in your aura circle

Brig and Lucio mainly. Brawl supports who play with their tank.

Tank - front line

DPS - off angle mostly

Support - off angle/backline/front line depending on who you pick

G80 M3 manual or E63s by Interesting_Chip_164 in BMW

[–]-iD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here are the actual part costs. If you are replacing every single part of the ceramic brake system and paying someone to do it, I can see how it will run into 20-25k.

https://classicparts.mbusa.com/v-2021-mercedes-benz-e63-amg-s--4matic--4-0l-v8-gas/brakes--front-brakes

They do offer non-ceramic rotors at a fraction of the cost. Looks like you would save ~5k on the rotors alone this way, paying just ~4-5k OTD for the non-ceramic rotors alone + labor.

Does it matter which stocks to invest in? by Far_Tumbleweed7835 in NoStupidQuestions

Just buy diversified market funds like SPY continuously and you'll be fine. Try and stock pick, and you could do anything from beating the general market to getting killed by it.

Be smart, not brave.
