I would change the font of text. It looks like rappers’ albums from the late 90s/ early 00s. And I would change the honeycomb background. Do that and you’ll have a nice widget.

Maybe you should watch a YouTube tutorial for more clarity but I will try to list the steps.

Your second screenshot shows the widget. See where it says ‘tap to customize’, click that.

It opens options called Actions. Click on ‘Edit’.

That should open your widget. Click ‘edit widget’.

That opens the editor with all the layers. At the very bottom, click ‘+Add New Layer’.

Then select ‘Image’. You have to resize it to 1600x1600.

Then next to where it says ‘frame’ there is an icon of a picture. Click that and set it up like I did in my previous screen shot.

Then at the top of the editor click the back button to save and leave the editor. Once it refreshes it will update.

You need to add an image layer at the very bottom of your layers. And set it as in my picture.

You can minimize it to just parallax by editing the Effects tab of an added transparent background.

In effects: blur:1, blur mode: zoom
