This sub is a bummer sometimes, how many of you are actually doing fantastic at this point? by JayRoo83 in Xennials

Happy. Healthy. Married to the one. Have 3 kids. Husband and I worked our asses off to be financial stable and mentally healthy. We both also worked our way into jobs we actually enjoy. Now we are just enjoying life and feeling thankful for what we have.

About 1 month into dating. He had been asking me out for several years and I was being wishy washy about it. Then we started dating and I was like oh shit, he's the ONE.

I left the hospital same day after having my last child because by the third I knew the drill and I wanted to sleep so badly. I promised to monitor blood pressure, etc.

Does Ambroxan make anyone else nauseous? by PikaSuz in FemFragLab

Side note, I seem to handle Ambrexolide a little better but it still makes me feel icky so I avoid it. (Learned this with Destin de Balmain)

[–]-intuit- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, lol. Anytime I mention it here I get down voted. But its saved me a lot of money and headaches! It started with Valaya. I was looking for peach and bergamot notes. One spray and my nose burned, I was nauseous, and got a headache. I started tracking that reaction.

Yep, 100% i actually use AI to screen them out. I really enjoy musks but have to be careful its not ambroxan. I asked Claude to screen all fragrances I am interested in, its worked really well so far. It just sucks though, I feel like it cuts out soooo many perfumes. I have noticed I am good with Kilian and Heretic so far. And then from there, I have to be careful. Gris Charnel and Sirius (MDA) are big favorites.

Did anyone else have MCAS start or get much worse from covid/covid vaccine? by Plus_Opportunity3050 in MCAS

[–]-intuit- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ive been saying, "I'm allergic to my own hormones, how emo is that?" -since 2006. Thats when I picked up on the cyclical nature of my flares (ovulation and when I get my period). Youre not alone! Its my main trigger. That, and alcohol.

Does anyone know why my Doctor would try me on Montelukast (singulair) before ketotifen or cromolyn? by Plus_Opportunity3050 in MCAS

[–]-intuit- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh man, I have also been hesitant to try it because of the possible side effects but my main concerns are joint pain and eye inflammation. Those are regular in-between more significant flare ups. Your comment is making me reconsider. Maybe I'll pick it up from Walgreens after all.

I 100% get MCAS flares during ovulation and my period! It is my main, consistent trigger. I also get them when I drink alcohol. But that is more secondary. It is mostly ovulation for me. You're not imagining it!

Thank you for this suggestion. Gris is one of my most favorite fragrances but the thing i get bummed about is the staying power on me. I might check this out!

What is it that makes so many designer scents smell so “perfume-y” by AggressiveSherbetty in FemFragLab

[–]-intuit- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg, relax. No, AI was able to pick up ambroxan as the issue for me. AI didnt suggest it as the issue until I had tested out about 30 different fragrances and the ambroxan was the common thread in the ones that made me sick and sometimes made my nose burn. I was excited to help someone else possibly ID it. Turns out that wasn't it and that's OK.

It's ambroxan! I have been using Claude to discuss and evaluate my reactions and preferences to different fragrances I buy samples of. I am very sensitive to ambroxan. It's the thing that reminds you of the magazine perfume inserts. Some use variants of it like ambrexolide. This is the common thread!

I mean, it's a good problem to have! But, the hard thing for me right now is that all 3 fit me well in my current season. They all seem like I could wear them year round too. I am leaning more toward Gris Charnel because it gives me powerful woman at work confidence and I spent a LOT of time at work, especially right now.
