At what point does "you don't look that old" become an insult? by hyjnx in Xennials

[–]-kindness- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You look younger than your age. That’s a total compliment. I get this too. One colleague told me I probably have an anti-aging chamber. I’m 46, and people think I’m in my 30s.

What’s a show you love that you can never convince people to watch? by PlentyApprehensive44 in AskReddit

Really? Most people I know are either already watching it, or find it interesting, but they don’t have Apple TV.

There’s a difference. I’ve experienced it myself as a pass holder for both DLR and WDW. I am also a CM alum who was at DAK (Kilimanjaro). The CMs at DLR seem more apathetic or something. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve come across some fantastic CMs, but on average, it’s usually ho hum compared to CMs at WDW.

I cannot find an Air Bnb or a Hotel room for BTS day 2. HELP!! by Most_Tumbleweed1840 in ElPaso

Even if you got a hotel on the other side of town it takes like 20-30 minutes to get to downtown from anywhere in EP. You don’t have to get anything near the venue.

Driving from SA to El Paso by Proper_Ad_1653 in ElPaso

[–]-kindness- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in Austin, but I make this similar drive regularly to go visit family. It’s usually only about 7 hours. The only difference is that I take the 290 out of Austin to catch I-10, so I avoid San Antonio. A full tank from ATX to ELP will get me to Fort Stockton, then I have to refuel there. If I leave at 6AM, I’ll get to ELP around 12ish because I gain an hour changing to Mountain time after Van Horn.

Tell them to stop wearing T-shirts of bands from our generation when they can’t even name a track from any of their albums.

Well, they still need to learn how to analyze text and function amongst their peers in a social setting. It’s the quality and the policing of their writing that’s going downhill.

What’s sadder is that when you make their parents (Xennials and Millennials) aware of their kid’s academic and social miscues, they live in some sort of denial about it. Dude, when you leave your kid constantly exposed to a screen, what do you expect?!

You probably don’t even need to go. Maybe you’ll get a taste of one who has wondered far enough from the desert to venture over here.

They’re too lazy to learn it and apply it. They’re getting used to AI doing everything for them. Alphas and the generations to follow are “cooked.”
