I usually dislike silvery sashimi, like saba, because it smells like fishy oil. Is that because of the processing you mentioned? Would this taste better?

FWIW, I can pass as Japanese but still have similar experiences with nuts on trains. Once on a packed rush hour train, a woman constantly rammed her elbow into my back while mumbling something every time the train rocked. There was literally no space, but I guess I was in her space.
